The book was okay at best. There are scenes that are unexplained and coonfusing as to why they were even included. This is the second time for Maxine that a killer confesses rather than having the murder club actually solve it. The opening scene is intriguing, but the ending doesnt quite sync with the confession. Lots of luck solved the mystery and I don't call that good mystery/thriller writing!

This is a compelling addition to the series and adds emotional turmoil as well as riveting suspense. Lindsay is chasing down a serial killer that targeted her former partner, Yuki is prosecuting a cartel member and Cindy wants the story even if she puts her life on the line. The action is non-stop and the pace is fast and totally engaging. All opinions expressed are my own.

Started out strong and interesting. However it ended much too quickly and weak. Not his best writing.
