Abysmal support. Can log in on a laptop but never mobile. Sometimes it looks like it will connect but it isn't. They have something going on with releasing active accounts which I suspect is the problem - if you are logged in elsewhere they do not kill that login and restart with the new device. I get why single login makes sense, but you have to set it up right! Months of being locked out of mobile. Frustrating, and I am writing this after another purge and cache clear and app reinstall.

I subscribed in 2024 for the 6 months trial at a reduced rate then made myself a reminder to cancel after that period. Then I unsubscribed through Google Play, but it didn't cancel my subscription, so today I realized I had paid more than 300$ for a news app I wasn't using, and that actually had to call to unsubscribe. I asked for a refund and they refused.

I really dislike that they are posting videos in the app. I use the Globe & Mail newspaper to READ articles. If I wanted a video, I would use TikTok or YouTube - not the Globe & Mail app lol Whoever thought adding videos to the app was a good idea, doesn't understand their customers. I'm not interested in watching video content from a newspaper. If possible, I would prefer the option of removing the video feature and removing that content from the app....it's terrible.
