I'm very excited that we're matched on one of the small fandoms I'm excited about. Vids are excellent and I can't wait to see what you come up with!


I'm always happy to be introduced to new-to-me music through vids, it's how I find some of my favorite artists and songs. 
Examples of music/musicians I like: Dessa, Griff, Glades, Taylor Swift, Tiffany Day, Lil Nas X, Years & Years, Vienna Teng, BOY, Be Steadwell, Alexander James Adams (& Heather Alexander), Mon Rovîa, Adia Victoria, Indigo Girls, Mary Lambert, Lady Bri, Chvrches, Oh Wonder, Owl City, Little Mix, Foxes, Cloudy June, Haley Kiyoko, Carly Rae Jepsen, Liang Lawrence.

DNWs: I don't enjoy music with screaming/shouting in it. I don't enjoy most metal, hard rock, punk music, or twang-y country music. Please avoid inclusion of audio from the source. Please no added script/words over the footage throughout the vid (optional subtitles are fine,  title & author / vid meta data at end or beginning are fine)


Deadloch (TV)
What it is and what I like about it: 8 episode Australian black comedy buddy cop show. My favorite thing I watched in 2023, compelling and witty with interesting characters (and lots of lesbians).

What I want in a vid: I love the leading ladies so an ensemble-type of Dulcie, Eddie, and Abby would be great. I'd also be delighted with a character study for any of those three. An overall summary/general vid, or friendship(s)-focused vid would also be welcome.

Do not want: I do not want a romantic/ship vid for this source, I don't want anything focused on any of the men.


Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) [SAFETY]
What it is and what I like about it: Action/Adventure movie inspired by the fantasy role playing game. This movie is just a fun time of a group of lovable adventures and their found family exploits (with some decent heist vibes).

What I want in a vid: I enjoy all the characters but particularly ship Xenk and Edgin, so if that's your thing I'd be delighted to receive a ship vid. Or if you are more interested in the ensemble, a found family & adventures vid would be lovely.

Do not want: I do not want Doric/Simon.


ダンジョン飯 | Dungeon Meshi | Delicious in Dungeon (Anime 2024)
What it is and what I like about it: 24 episode anime. This is based on a manga which I have not read. The story follows a set of adventurers in a fantasy D&D like setting and is part dungeon crawl, part cooking show as they eat various things they come across in their quest. I love this show for it's strong ensemble cast and interesting world building.

What I want in a vid: I'd be delighted with a team-vibes/ensemble focused vid. These are wonderful characters so if you feel like a character-study vid I'd be interested in it, I particularly find Liaos interesting. Senshi is also cool, though if you want make a Senshi vid I'd prefer a serious character study not a comedic one. I ship Marcille/Falin so if want to make a ship vid,  that would be lovely.

Do not want: I do not want a vid using Eat It by Weird Al, I do not want a purely hijinks/comedy-focused vid, I do not want a solely cooking-focused vid.


Silo (TV)
What it is and what I like about it: (currently) 10 episode TV show, S2 comes out 11/15/24 and will be 10 eps with final ep airing 1/17/25. I intend to watch this show as it releases. Given the timing of Festivids I'm fine with vids that take just S1 for vidding purposes. This show is based on a book series which I have not read so I don't know what's going to happen. Silo has been my favorite thing I've watched in 2024 (w/ Dungeon Meshi coming in 2nd place). This show is beautifully acted, I love Rebecca Ferguson, she does such a good job, but the wider cast is also amazing. The writing and pacing were super tight and compelling for me and I really enjoyed the world building and layers particularly how much detail the show holds purely in the visuals.

What I want in a vid: I would love a Juliette focused vid/character study. An ensemble / overall story vid would also be welcome. I'm not sure whether there's sufficient footage for it but a Walk focused vid would also be amazing and would make me very happy.

I do not want: A Juliette/George ship vid - it's fine to include the ship but I want more than just the ship so please no romance focused vid.


Stranger Than Fiction (2006) [SAFETY]
What it is and what I like about it: This is a smart comedy movie about a man who realizes he's a character in a book and the author is trying to kill him. This is a long-time favorite film of mine.

What I want in a vid: I love Karen Eiffel so if you want to do a character study of her that'd be neat. If you're interested in a ship vid and could figure out how to pull off a Karen/Penny vid I'd be excited to see that. Or if you'd like to do an overall/summary vid (or recruiter vid) for the movie that'd be neat

Do not want: I do not want an Harold/Ana ship-focused vid, If you want to do a overall/summary vid or a Harold character study Harold/Ana will be part of that and that's fine but I don't want a romance-song-ship-focused vid.


舞台『千と千尋の神隠し』| Spirited Away: Live on Stage (with Mone Kamishiraishi as Chihiro 2022) [SAFETY]
What it is and what I like about it: This is a filmed theatrical adaptation of Spirited Away, it has amazing puppet work and Mone Kamishiraishi is fantastic and so expressive as Chihiro.  

What I want in a vid: A vid celebrating the visuals of how cool this theater production is would be neat, or an overview / whole story vid would also be lovely.

Do not want: N/A.


The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells
What it is and what I like about it:  Science fiction book series. I love the characters, competency, and found family. I particularly love ART - though how to depict ART in any visual medium is definitely a question.

What I want in a vid: I ship Murderbot/ART so if you wanted to somehow make me a ship vid for them that'd be neat (or if you prefer friendship focus for them I'd be here for that too). I love Murderbot & Preservation family/team vibes. I'd be down for something trying to capture the feel of the series and story overall. I've read everything that's been published in this series. If you want to somehow use the audiobook in the vid, I love Kevin R. Free's narration and this is one fandom where I'd make an exception to may general 'no source audio' preference.

Do not want: A ship vid for Murderbot with anyone other than ART.


The Lays of the Hearth-Fire - Victoria Goddard
What it is and what I like about it: Fantasy duology (series if you include some novellas). I love the characters and competency and complexity of government and magic.

What I want in a vid: An aesthetic ~vibes~ vid for this source, like trying to visually create/explore the world of this story could be neat, If you can manage to make a ship vid for Cliopher/Artorin|Fitzroy I'd be very here for that. I'd be interested in a fixing-the-government vid, or a going-on-adventures vid, or a Cliopher character study, but I'm not sure how possible any of those things are. I'm probably more interested in aesthetic match that accuracy match for this fandom?

Do not want: I'm not particularly interested in a vid about the household/ensemble beyond Cliopher and Artorin.


Witch King - Martha Wells
What it is and what I like about it: Fantasy book. I enjoy the characters and world building.

What I want in a vid: I ship Kai/Bashasa so if you can figure out how to make a vid for that'd be lovely. I also love the sweeping scope of the storytelling so something again covering the aesthetic/impression of the book could be neat. I'm more interested in the past/escaping & fighting the Heirarchs than I am on the present-day plotline so if you're picking a time/narrative area to focus on the past is what I'd prefer.

Do not want: It's hard to get shots of people with black sclera but I'd generally prefer if you don't use any clips of main  or recurring Supernatural characters, and if you do decide to use anything from that show please do not use content from the first 5 seasons as I'm very familiar with those and it would throw me out of the vid.
