So. Why do people steal things from public fridges? Why do people have no moral intergrity???? I mean, idk, personally I'd feel bad if I took something that wasn't mine. (I'll admit...I have taken tiny bits of milk before from housemates...but always only a little bit! I'd never use enough to make it noticeable! And I'd certainly never steal like an actual thing!)

The thing that is most frustrating is that the thief is HR&A!Girl, i.e., someone who should be above this, given how high and mighty she acts and her position in the company??? Barf. smh.

50 Shades of Red Pen, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] lobolita. So I haven't actually seen any excerpts of 50 Shades until now, but wow. I hadn't realized it was this bad. Why does this kind of crap appeal to people????

Portrait of a Serial Winner, a really amazing article about Luis Suárez written just before the World Cup. I saw it on Reddit, and I think this is a good glimpse into the type of person Suárez might be.

Critique My Dick, courtesy of [profile] thistle_chaser, NSFW ofc. It's really interesting to see dick pics be critiqued as photographs! Though um seeing all those big penes has only reinforced my disgust at ever actually having sex myself...

Differences between BrEng and AmEng wrt sandwiches & other things on bread. This was interesting, especially since I felt like the BrEng expressions made more sense, despite having lived in the US for longer. (Although I was rather bad at, um, engaging with USAmerican culture.)

Today I discovered the existence of hair ratts...which explains a lot, really. I've been jealous of people with thick hair for a while, as mine is dreadfully thin, which means that I can't do any ~real~ traditional hairstyles. And I know that wigs have been around for forever, but I've always been convinced that a lot of people could do "big" hairstyles with only the hair on their heads, which has always seemed really unfair.

Well...the use of hair ratts makes a ridiculous amount of sense. It's an easy, free way of bulking up hair, so anyone could have done them...and it would still all be one's own hair. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna start collecting all my hair now so I can start making these. Hopefully this works, and I can do a ~real~ traditional hairstyle some day O_O

So the other day I saw this really large dark spot on the floor. Thinking that it was some rubbish, I went closer...and it moved.

I yelped. And then asked my father where the fly swatter was so I could kill the huge cockroach @_@

I totally didn't expect to yelp, though. I mean, I'm not afraid of insects in general, and I don't really fear anything. But I definitely didn't expect for it to be alive, and I guess the surprise got to me.

It reminds me of how my former landlady would try to scare me and make me jump or scream by suddenly getting close to me and making a loud noise....~_~

May I just say how useful and awesome handkerchiefs are. I've made three so far, and today while I was out and about, I ate a peach and then found myself with peach juice on my hands with no running water in sight. Luckily I had a handkerchief on me, so I wiped my hand clean and then went to browse bric-a-brac at a charity shop. :D I need to make more, though, since my nose gets super runny during winter (the main reason I'm making them in the first place, because I don't want to continue to rely on disposable tissues for the rest of my life :P It's a never-ending expense! /miser). Hopefully I can begin on a new one tomorrow night during the Bremen vs Dortmund game XD

Also a bunch of Mesut fans started following me...I hope they read the part of the sidebar that said 'FC Bayern München', or they are going to be pretty disappointed soon, lol. :P And I have nearly 900 pics from the match against Belgium...

Have you guys seen this? XD

[livejournal.com profile] gurimalla, [livejournal.com profile] martinemonster, and anyone else with loved ones in Oslo, I hope they are safe and unhurt! S:

Also, Harry Potter: The Anti-Geek. I agree with it - I don't see Harry as a geek and definitely see him as a ~popular kid~...which is probably why I stopped being a Gryffindor supporter, lol.

Anyone watching the Supercup tomorrow? [livejournal.com profile] lincolnimp? I am so excited that it's going to be streamed on youtube! I might be able to actually see who's doing badly and who's playing well, which will be a first, lol!

Flisters in the UK, anyone up for a free box of graze? It's a box of ~more healthy snacks that comes once a week...I got my free box and I thought it was pretty nice! Though idk if I'm going to keep buying, mainly because...I snack actually quite healthily already, and when one can buy 20 satsumas or like 10 bananas for £1, it's a bit of a waste to get a box like this for £3.49...3: Though I did enjoy the free food, ngl XD (Also yes, if you sign up using that link I get £1 off each future box...but I'm just going to donate that monies to their charity because yeah, even £2.49 is kind of too much for my miserly heart XD) It's a nice idea, though, I think, for people who want to snack healthier. :P

Also I think I'm nearing my breaking point for those trikots. ~_~ I can't wait to able to wear them during a game...3:

And I'm going to Liverpool this weekend, then going to Bangor after that, so I'll be gone until mid-next week or so at the earliest. Will have to catch up later! (Or try to...ever since I got TooManyTabs, I just end up saving like 300+ tabs to it every time I go away...~_~ and then reading it like months later :||||||) (Also, anyone on the flist going to be in those locations? I'm meeting friends in both places...but I think I can probably find some time to meet up with other people as well! :))

(HD version also available.)

I don't often talk about my culture on here, but this is the sort of beauty I always envision when I think of it. (No, this is generally not what most people associate with my culture, but then, I've always been different.) This is the beauty I've waited for and wanted my whole life, and I would die to keep this alive.

flist, I had someone contact me asking for help in getting people to complete her survey, so!

I would like to make an inquiry about some students who is studying in England. Right now I’m preparing my Bachelor paper on Cross-Cultural Research of General Well-Being and I would like that students complete an online survey for me (the time: 5 minutes). Well I am studying Psychology in Vilnius University, Lithuania but I’m from Sweden originally.
I guess you are getting a lot surveys at uni and tired on it… but one more please.

I have tried to contract several universities in England, and it sounds like they could help me but the problem is that I have to wait quite long time until I’ll get the results. My time is running out and I don’t know if I could wait such long time (the deadline is in middle of April).

I see you are a student and maybe you have some friends who is studying, and could complete my survey. I would be really grateful!

The link is:

Anyway, I'm no longer a student so I wouldn't feel right answering, but I know people on the flist is, so! Also, even though the survey says for business students, Diana told me that she's decided to let all students participate.

And she's looking for responses for students in Lithuania, England (note: she means the UK here, when I asked for clarification), USA, Australia and South Africa.

If you have some spare time and feel up for helping, please consider filling it out! Thanks! :)

I have a thread on [livejournal.com profile] helpbrazil2011 and am offering postcards, because I am the slowest fic writer ever and I can actually do postcards in a reasonable amount of time. Um. -____________- (Also if I owe you fic from [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan, I am working on it. I am just the slowest writer ever :((((((((()

Same offer at [livejournal.com profile] qldfloodauction, though the starting bid is different. I should have upped the starting bid on the other one, um. :|||||||

I wish people who offer are in my (current) fandoms, though. The few who do, they already have super high bids. -_______________- sigh, why do I have to like the RPS fandoms with authors who barely participate in these things? :(
