I really started getting into Fitz and Verity's relationship between the first and second books, when Verity kills Galen and Fitz and Verity start having Skill dreams together. I was really surprised that Fitz agreed to Verity's mentoring in the Skill, especially after Galen had used it as a tool for his abuse. And then Verity, who is stuck fighting a war with Fitz as his only Skilled ally, who sees a lot of his and Chivalry's past selves within Fitz, who has to go teach Fitz in the middle of the night how to block off dreams of "Lady Redskirts" -- he doesn't hold any of this against Fitz. Some of his leniency around Fitz definitely comes from a bit of a selfish place, of wishing he could've had the opportunity to make more of his own choices in his life, but he uses that to try and give Fitz more control over his life at a time when a lot of Fitz's other mentors have strongly discouraged or taken away Fitz's choices. I love the role their statuses in the kingdom play in their relationship -- how Fitz is so loyal to Verity that he uses "my King" to refer to him even before the decline in Shrewd's health, how Verity is one of the only people who is allowed to know about all areas of Fitz's life -- and especially how it makes breaches of status feel much more impactful. Even in the third book, when Verity is at his lowest point and makes some intentional and unintentional choices that hurt Fitz, the two still end it all with this: "I did love you, you know. Despite all I've done to you, I loved you."/"I never doubted it. Never doubt I loved you."

If you're writing in first person, I would prefer Fitz's POV since that's how the books are written. The only books I've read in this universe are the Farseer Trilogy, Liveship Traders Trilogy, and the Tawny Man Trilogy; I haven't gotten to any of the others yet.

I really started getting into Fitz and Verity's relationship between the first and second books, when Verity kills Galen and Fitz and Verity start having Skill dreams together. I was really surprised that Fitz agreed to Verity's mentoring in the Skill, especially after Galen had used it as a tool for his abuse. And then Verity, who is stuck fighting a war with Fitz as his only Skilled ally, who sees a lot of his and Chivalry's past selves within Fitz, who has to go teach Fitz in the middle of the night how to block off dreams of "Lady Redskirts" -- he doesn't hold any of this against Fitz. Some of his leniency around Fitz definitely comes from a bit of a selfish place, of wishing he could've had the opportunity to make more of his own choices in his life, but he uses that to try and give Fitz more control over his life at a time when a lot of Fitz's other mentors have strongly discouraged or taken away Fitz's choices. I love the role their statuses in the kingdom play in their relationship -- how Fitz is so loyal to Verity that he uses "my King" to refer to him even before the decline in Shrewd's health, how Verity is one of the only people who is allowed to know about all areas of Fitz's life -- and especially how it makes breaches of status feel much more impactful. Even in the third book, when Verity is at his lowest point and makes some intentional and unintentional choices that hurt Fitz, the two still end it all with this: "I did love you, you know. Despite all I've done to you, I loved you."/"I never doubted it. Never doubt I loved you."

I am very interested in either incest or gen for these two. If you're writing in first person, I would prefer Fitz's POV since that's how the books are written. I've only read the Farseer Trilogy and I'll likely have finished the Liveship Traders Trilogy as well by reveals, but I haven't read any of the other books within this universe.

1. An AU where Fitz is either allowed to go with Verity on his quest or decides to leave and follow Verity at a different point in time. 2. During the game about the machine, the guard outside says that the machine calls itself Coda, implying that this is a name chosen by Coda himself rather than a pseudonym Davey made up. How/why did Coda choose this name?
3. I want to know more about the argument Davey and Coda had over playable games. What actually got said during it? When Coda made the "playable games" he sent to Davey, was he seriously mad about it, or was he being more mischievous? How did Davey reply to Coda after he wasted time "playing" all of them?
