We Chosen have to stick together, right? [Active, Closed]

Character(s): Colette and Zelos
Content: Colette and Zelos are reunited in Paixao.
Setting: Outside the Actua Are hotel near Joutenheim Gate.
Time: Morning, I guess? Week 38
Warnings: Does Zelos himself usually count as a warning?

Colette stood outside the hotel. This looked like the place Zelos had described. It was a hotel of the same name in the grid area he described.

She sat down the nearby bench and took her time to get a proper look at her surroundings. This city....she had never seen one like this before even in Tethe’alla. The painted sky glowing to give light, the silver and gold plants...it was very beautiful but at the same time, so peculiar....

Just why were people brought here? And how did they manage to bring people from different timelines? Or, at least in the case with her and Zelos..
That was not the only bizarre thing, though....what Colette did not tell Zelos (or rather, the Zelos of her time but she assumed that this one did not know, either) her body slowly turning to crystal. However, when she woke up in Paixao, her body was completely flesh and bone again!
Just.....what had happened to her?

Well, whatever it was, Colette decided to keep a secret from him, just like she kept it a secret from her friends back home. He did not need to know.

"Hello there, my angel!" Zelos called out in greeting, a hand held up and a grin spread wide across his face as he approached Colette. "You sure came quickly. That excited to see my handsome face, huh?"

He honestly wasn't sure what to think about the other Chosen being here. There was something... freeing about being the only other one in this place who didn't know about Sylvarant or Tethe'alla or what a Chosen was. Despite its imperfections and the danger surrounding this city/castle/whatever, Zelos had thought of it as a chance to start over. He could be whoever he wanted.

But now...

She wanted to go home and save two worlds, just like any good Chosen would. Not that Zelos blamed her. It was the right thing to do. It wasn't a bad thing. It was just another example at how bad he was. She knew everything that came with being a Chosen and didn't mind. He...

"I said I would be, didn't I?" Zelos came to a stop in front of Colette and decided to ignore the fact that she didn't answer his question. After a moment, he frowned and gave her a once over. "Hey, you're feeling okay, right? And don't try to lie to me. I'm from the future, remember?" He tapped himself on the head. "So I know a thing or two."

And if she was from before the Earth Temple, then she definitely didn't have that Rune Crest she needed.

"Don't try to change the subject on me," Zelos said, giving her a knowing look. "I told you, I'm from the future. And you were sick around the time you said you came from. So are you saying that because you really aren't anymore or are you saying that to get me to stop asking about it?"

He crossed his arms and looked down at her, waiting in silence for a response.
chosencasanova: (Yeah I don't think so.)

"I'm not buying it," Zelos said, a little surprised that she was still trying to deny it. "Look, if it makes you feel any better, you're cured by the time it gets to my time. But if you're sick here and now, it's just going to get worse before it gets better." That wasn't to say he knew if the items to make a Rune Crest would be here, or if anyone was even capable of making one, but doing nothing wasn't going to help either of them.
chosencasanova: (This is not my Batman glass.)

"It was kind of by accident." Zelos motioned to her arm. "Your sleeve got torn up. Everyone figured it out then. We all kind of had to know in order to get you the cure." His gaze flickered back to her face for an instant and he sighed. "So I guess you still have that problem now, huh?"
chosencasanova: (You guys are such a pain.)

Zelos was quiet for a moment, mentally checking over her words and actions to make sure she wasn't lying to him again. But the way she had said it this time seemed different than before, and Colette had actually acknowledged the fact that she was sick before she had come here was something, so maybe she really was telling the truth.

...At least he wouldn't have to go to some city of the angels to get stuff to make a Rune Crest. "...All right. Just don't keep it to yourself if anything goes wrong, okay? Don't try to hide anything from me."
chosencasanova: (Don't worry your pretty little head)

"Trust me, I'm not that worried about getting back," Zelos said. "Not knowing when you're sick worries me a lot more, my little angel. Like I said before, take this chance to relax. We'll make it back eventually." He grinned at her and winked. "Would I lie to you?"
chosencasanova: (You're kidding right?)

Zelos thought for a moment. "I think I mentioned it once or twice, but people around here don't seem to care about that kind of thing," he said, and shrugged. "Then again they don't really have a lot of reason to. It's not like we're the chosen of their worlds." He didn't really bother mentioning it anymore, and probably wouldn't unless someone asked. No reason to try and find the one guy who would care.
