THe Hero of Time Appears [Active]

Character(s): Link, anyone who shows up
Content: Link arrives in Paixao
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Day
Warnings: None probably

Link heaved his sword out from its scabbard as he stalked closer to the imposing castle walls. This was it. Ganon's Castle-- No. Hyrule castle! The same place that at one time had been Zelda's home, that had once been so full of life... now tainted with the choking corruption of the evil king's control. Link would stop him; he would stop him from ever harming anyone again. He'd see Zelda's smile again.

As he approached the castle the voice of Rauru the sage filled his ears. He urged the hero on as the combined power of the six sages created a bridge to the castle. Openly surprised, Link tested a foot onto the see-through surface, peering down at the swirling mass of dark magic below. He took a deep breath, then turned his eyes skyward to the tower where both Ganondorf and Zelda waited. He would stop this.
He gave Navi a meaningful look, to which the fairy twirled once in the air, as if to show her support. Link nodded back at her, training his eyes in on the castle entrance and ran forward across the bridge. His fingers curled audibly around the hilt of his sword. His feet felt light under him even as they touched down on the worn brick entrance.

All of Hyrule was counting on him, and Link would not fail them.

Strangely, as he stepped further into the darkened castle, a light appeared in the distance. Steeling himself for the worst, Link did not halt his pace, forging on ahead.

"Link!"

Navi's cry cut through his concentration and he stopped, turning back to-- to find her gone.
There was nothing but pitch darkness and silence. "Navi?" He called, shoulders tense as he looked about; where could she have gone? Had he walked straight into a trap?

Just as the dread began to creep into his stomach he glanced back around. There stood an enormous gate with stone giants towering above. ...Where, where was he? Confused, he looked back where he came. A bright field now replacing the darkness from before.

A moment later, he allowed the shock to pass and approached the gate. At the sight of people, Link put away his sword, not wanting to cause a commotion. There was a line inside... He looked about himself once more. There didn't appear to be anywhere else for him to go...

When his turn came, Link gave the woman at the desk his name, staring strangely at the journal she handed him. "Please. Can you tell me where in Hyrule we are?" He asked, his voice coming out with more of an edge than he'd intended.

The woman frowned at him sympathetically, "I've never heard of a 'Hyrule'. This is Paixao."

He stared at her, thinking carefully of what next he should ask, of what there was TO ask. How could he not be in Hyrule?

The woman sighed softly, and motioned him on, "Sir, I have others in the line. I need you to move along."

Link opened his mouth to speak but closed it once more. He stepping into the domed city and glanced around. There had to be an explanation for all this.

Ziva had walked close to the gate, still exploring the city. She was planning on going out exploring at some point, but she wasn't going to leave here, until she knew everything she could know about it. Four gates, four different schedules... all leading to the fields outside.

Yet, there didn't seem to be anything outside, from what she could remember from the times she was outside the gates. There was always a line coming inside... Mostly citizens, but from experience she knew others, people from other worlds, came into this town.

Herself being one of them.

Hence why she wasn't that surprised when she saw the man, clad in green, carrying a sword and shield walk through the gate. Another new arrival. It would be interesting to see what his reaction would be.

Ziva looked up when Link addressed her. For a second, her eyes flicked to the hilt of the sword on his back, before glancing back to him. Apparently, her appreciation for a good weapon was getting at her again. And, that sword looked like a good one.

"Actually, there is one on your journal you can use." She said, holding up hers. "Let me show you." She turned the journal so he could see the screen and went through a couple of the menus to get to the map.

"I should warn you though, the exit is not as easy to find as the entrance."
