Stage Three of Bank of New Zealand's 80 Queen Street refurbishment is complete, wrapping up a multi-year project that has transformed their Auckland CBD headquarters floor by floor. RCP helped deliver a full strip-out and refit of 13 floors, ground through to Level 18, while BNZ staff continued working in the building throughout. Day-by-day sequencing of decommissioning, construction and recommissioning kept the programme moving around live operations the whole way through. The result is a modernised workplace with a staff social hub, dedicated client entertainment floors, a new ground floor branch, and refitted offices throughout. A great outcome for BNZ and a strong example of what careful planning makes possible.

What happens when knowledge is equal and everywhere? That’s the prospect facing the global consulting industry and causing a foundational shake-up in the way we operate. With AI compressing analysis from weeks to hours, clients are now, rightfully, expecting the firm to stand behind the result, not the document.   With our DNA in the sharp end of delivering construction projects, RCP Advisory has always had a relentless focus on execution. We always analyse the options but never leave doubt over the recommendation and the pathway to delivery. You’ll never hear us say ‘It depends’.   Now, as we enter a new age of consulting, our commercial model is catching up. We are offering outcome-led pricing structures that align to the conviction we have in the recommendations we produce. If you are looking for strategists who are willing to get off the fence and stand by what they say, we’d love to talk.

The 2026 Property Council New Zealand Property Industry Awards was a fantastic evening celebrating the best of the built environment across Aotearoa. A special mention to Te Rua Archives New Zealand, which won the WARREN AND MAHONEY Civic, Health and Arts Property Award. Congratulations to the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ), Dexus, and the entire team behind the facility built to protect some of the country's most significant taonga. A testament to what can be delivered on an incredibly complex project. A huge congratulations to every client, consultant, contractor and team behind the projects recognised on Friday!

It was a pleasure to sponsor yesterday's Post Budget 2026 lunch with Finance Minister Hon Nicola Willis MP, hosted by Business Central NZ and the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. RCP Associate Director Helen Ewing offered a perspective that delivery is what drives growth. The practical work sitting behind the obvious projects matters more for the economy than is often visible. Finance Minister Hon Nicola Willis focused on fiscal discipline and the partnership between public and private sectors required to grow the economy. Both views landed on the same point: growing New Zealand's prosperity requires a plan, and that plan can't be delivered by government alone. It takes genuinely collective effort, public and private working together.
