Happy 3rd Ficversary to Me (May 15)

Seems like just recently I celebrated my second ficversary.
I’m celebrating writing Glee fanfiction, but in reality, I’ve been writing fanfiction since (gasp) the1980s. If you knew my real name, and if you were an industrious searcher, you could find my fanfic and fanart in a whole variety of Dragonriders of Pern zines from the 80s and early 90s. It wasn’t very good, though. I also wrote and drew Elfquest and Valdemar fanfiction, and one awful little My Little Pony first-gen story from the mid-80s is even on the internet somewhere.
I’ve also been writing Teen Wolf fanfiction for just over a year. I’ve been so pleased by the fandom’s reception, not only to the Sterek, but also to the Stanny romantic soulmate fic. I loved the opportunity to write in the fantasy and historical fiction genres for a chance.
Word count has increased at a much slower rate this year. I don’t really keep track of how many words I write, but total published words on A03 is just over 2.5 million. That’s about 500,000 words written in the past twelve months. Wow, there are so many more in my head!
I’m not quite sure what I want to do to celebrate my ficversary this year. My old friend and cowriter Flynn Anthony and I will write something. I’ll get donuts from my two favorite donut places in town, one cake and one yeast, and share them with my friends and neighbors, even though most of them don’t read my fanfiction.
Thanks for being there, everyone. I’ve been a member of fandom for a long, long time, but writing this stuff has been the best part of my life for the past three years.
Anybody want to write something?
