𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 Part of the "Podfy Practical Cases" series. On July 10, Trans.info published an analysis that confirms something many planners already sense: a lost proof of delivery costs more than a morning of searching. A mid-sized fleet that loses around 50 PODs per month misses out on more than 100,000 dollars a year in late payments and disputes, according to the report. One manufacturer featured in the analysis even lost more than 23 million dollars because proof of delivery was not available in time to resolve damage and shortage claims. This isn't about careless drivers. It's about a trip that went perfectly, on time and without damage, but that remains unresolved on paper for weeks because no one can quickly show it was properly delivered. That's not a capacity problem. It's a retrieval problem. No POD, no approved invoice, that one line affects both carrier and shipper. Does this sound familiar? How much time is still spent at your company searching for a signed document that should have been ready long ago? #proofofdelivery #POD

Anyone planning through the Brenner this summer is essentially planning around a bridge. The Luegbrücke on the A13 has been running on just one lane per direction by default since early 2025, and that will remain the case until the new bridge is in place around 2030. On roughly 180 busy days per year, a second lane temporarily opens according to the ASFINAG driving calendar, but especially during the summer weeks, truck driving bans are added on top of that on busy Saturdays. Industry organizations calculated that capacity on single-lane days is up to 80 percent lower. That's not roadworks you simply wait out, that's a structural given for the coming years.Switching to rail is also no escape these weeks: on the Verona-Brenner line, the Peri-Domegliara section is out of service from July 20 to 27. What I see working in practice is not calling around harder on the day itself, but committing earlier. Anyone still looking for capacity on Wednesday for Thursday either pays top price or has to detour via corridors that are just as congested. How are you dealing with this toward Italy: driving calendar factored into planning, structurally rerouting, or simply factoring in that it will take longer? #wegvervoer #transport #logistiek #brenner

Most planners think higher freight prices this year are mainly driven by demand. The IRU figures tell a different story. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 Contract rates in Europe rose by almost 9 percent this quarter, but not because demand increased. Diesel prices shot up by 26 percent following unrest in the Middle East, and that is now pushing rates higher. Anyone negotiating new contracts would do well to weigh fuel clauses more heavily than demand forecasts. Meanwhile, AEB being mandatory for new trucks from July 7 is creating extra choices when ordering equipment. And in Romania a pilot is underway to prepare eFTI documentation, which will eventually also affect paper CMRs. On top of that, borders remain a millstone. Poland is extending checks with Germany and Lithuania until October, and the Entry/Exit System is causing wait times of up to five hours in some places. Do you recognize this picture, that fuel now weighs more heavily than demand in determining rates? #freight #supplychain #CMR

This summer, more will change in European transport at once than we've seen in years. New rules and a shrinking Brenner corridor at the same time. For those driving or planning internationally, we've laid it out practically. 1. Check your vans. Since July 1st, vehicles between 2.5 and 3.5 tons in international traffic fall under the smart tachograph, with no transition period. No G2V2 on board means an immediate risk. 2. Check with your toll provider whether your OBU is valid in the Netherlands. Toll Collect or Satellic doesn't automatically work with the new Dutch kilometer system. Without a valid OBU, you risk a fine or being held up at the border. 3. Replan your Germany-Italy routes. The Brenner corridor is losing significant capacity due to major construction works, while strikes are additionally hitting the Italian railway. Volumes are shifting from rail to road, exactly where bottlenecks already exist. Build in buffer and calculate road alternatives into your cost price in advance. 4. Watch out for the overlapping weekend driving bans around July 11, 18 and 25 in Germany, France, Austria and Poland. Combined with the extra Alpine congestion, you'll notice this directly in your planning. 5. Look at your Euro class if you're driving toward Northern Italy. From October, a ban on Euro 5 diesel will apply there, including for foreign vehicles. Who has already factored this into their planning? https://lnkd.in/expq7-eb #transport #logistiek #carriers

Chasing drivers for delivery paperwork is the slowest part of getting paid. We built PODFY to end it. Proof of delivery, without the app. Here's how it works: → Drop the PODFY link straight into the delivery instructions you already send, no separate message, no driver comms to manage. → The driver photographs the signed CMR or delivery note, on any phone → A stamped, timestamped PDF lands in your inbox the same day, ready to invoice. No app to install. No account for the driver. No training. The link just rides along with the instructions you're sending anyway. Still on paper? PODFY can generate the CMR for you, from your own Excel templates or a simple digital form, so the consignment note is digital from the start, not just at the end. Every record is timestamped server-side, so it can't be back-dated, linked to your reference number for instant retrieval, and archived in the EU for seven years. Built for Benelux and EU carriers, 3PLs and shippers who are done with missing PODs and delayed invoices. See it in 30 seconds → podfy.net/demo #logistics #proofofdelivery #3PL #freight #logistiek
