Weekend plans: cuddling, snuggling, and kissing cat.

What are your usual weekend plans? Are you the type to use the time to be productive, working on things here and there, fixing up the house, working on writing your zombie novel, and going to the gym to work on those quads? Or are you the sleepy, indolent, resting type? You find yourself cuddling the cat under covers for more of the weekend than you'd care to admit, ordering food to be delivered because the thought of going outside and facing the world is just sickening to you. Or are you the type to busy yourself with friends and social events? The get-togethers, eating, drinking, and partying to fill the existential dread that everyone experiences in life. Or are you a cat and you don't even know it's the weekend?!

There's a certain energy about Fridays. Everyone has been waiting the week for this. We just want a day off and to sleep in, is that so much to ask for? Our cats get to do it every day, and they have no concept of the weekend. Lucky them. Doing absolutely nothing is what a lot of people these days want to do. Some people may have families and they're out taking their kids and wife to the lake, or ice skating. But you? You're in bed with your cat and your phone – your happy place. These wholesome kitties add the absolute purrfect vibe to turn that work week frown upside down. After a long week of responsibilities, notifications, emails, and mental tabs left over, these memes remind us that we don't need to purrform on the weekend, we simply need to exist. So enjoy these hilarious and wholesome cat memes and get to rest!

What's cuter than a firefighter and a kitty? Basically nothing.

Fire stations are places of urgency, noise, and long hours spent waiting for the next move on what to do and where to go. Cute, innocent, wholesome, lost animals are not often associated with these kinds of places that are rushing about, filled with chaos and capriciousness. But one day, a grey, smokey cat was found wandering around a fire station, and from the looks of it she'd been squatting there for some time.

She was small, cautious, and clearly out of place among the trucks, gear, and heavy boots. No one knew exactly where she came from, only that she had found her way into the station and decided to stay. They noticed she had a wound on her back, and luckily many firefighters double as professionals in other ways – one of the guys was also a vet! He spent a week fixing up the poor little girl, and the whole station decided to take her in as their own. Litter box and cat food was bought and set out for her, but no one claimed her as their own. She quickly earned her role as the station's shared cat. During long nights, she offered quiet company. During stressful days, she became a soft reminder that not everything needed fixing with urgency. The crew joked that morale had improved overnight, but beneath the humor was something real. She brought warmth into a place built for emergencies.

For one firefighter in particular, the connection ran deeper. He found himself checking on her first thing, talking to her during downtime, and feeling oddly protective of this small, grey life that had chosen their station. He sent a photo of her to his wife and something changed. "There was just something so special about this little kitty," she admitted when seeing the photo. Immediately, she told him to bring the cat home. But she was 20 minutes too late, and he had already left the station. It was on a Friday, so the couple is hoping that she stays in the station for the weekend! Stay there little kitty, you're on your way to a furrever home!

Dog lovers, listen up. Now, it is not that we do not believe you, we certainly do. What is not to like about a dog, it's cute, it comes when it is called and if you are lucky it does not lick your face after it has finished licking its privates. But when it comes to cats, there is simply no better. And that can be attested to by the tens if not hundreds of hoomans who have been blessed by the Cat Distribution System.

For the moment they realize they have been chosen by a feline fur baby, all preconceived notions of loving dogs over cats quickly disappear and all you are left with is an adoration for cats and a bemusing admiration for dogs. Which is exactly what happened to the unwitting woman in this story. She thought she knew all she needed to know about cats. She thought she was comfortable keeping her distance from them. Oh how naive she was…

Being a Crazy Cat Person isn't an insult. It's a compliment.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with being a little crazy, right? No normie has ever been so much fun, and having a crazy side in life is actually beneficial. And besides, being a Crazy Cat Person doesn't necessarily mean you're completely coo-coo, it just means you're crazy about cats. And, honestly? Same. Otherwise, what would we be doing here? Not a lot. Everybody's got to be crazy about cats in some capacity or another to visit us here. And… you're here. Which means only one thing - you're definitely at least a little of a Crazy Cat Person.

But you're probably another thing as well. Not just crazy about cats, but also a little bit of an internet creature, a web goblin… a meme lord. Or lady, you know. Just as Crazy Cat Lady is actually genderless, so is the Meme Lord title. You can meme around on any point of the spectrum: from meme baby to meme boss. And you probably know who the absolute bosses of memes are already, right? Cats. Always have. Always will be. The online feline funnies are the dominant force of everything digital - and we have them right here, right meow.

Being stuck on the CDS list is the most adorable mission a person can have.

Not all people are aware of the meowsterious doings of the Cat Distribution System. And even within the people who are aware of this meowgical agency of cat-human relations and permanent residency assignment, aren't necessarily aware if they are on the waiting list for receiving their CDS cat delivery or not. But some people know they're on the list - in a way that's very hard to miss. Some people save a cat, after cat, after cat - and the CDS just keeps on showering them with the best animal of them all. They're just as lucky as that.

This one woman is a permanent name on the list. At least she thinks so, because as you may know, nothing the Cat Distribution System does is disclosed to the public. But after two cats (and two dogs as well), the CDS assigned her for one more mission - a kitten trapped under her house. No food, no shelter, and not even a tail. This kitten was in desperate need of help. So yes, her house was full, but her heart has so much space. Truly, she's a kind person. And she couldn't ignore when her dogs alerted her (yes, dogs can be CDS agents as well) - the kitten was immediately added to the lovely family.

This kitty, 'Rue', and her hooman were brought together by feline fate - she looks exactly like the stuffed animal her pawrent had, and that was what sealed the deal.

It's ameowzing to get a glimpse into the invisible strings that connect us all. They mostly go unseen, floating around us while we live our busy lives, but here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we get to show you the ones that connect hoomans to their kitties. And the best part is that they're purrfectly heartwarming, and 100% special.

The hooman in our story below got a stuffed animal named 'Patches', who happened to be a calico cat, whom she loved dearly. She slept with Patches every night. So when it was time for her to start looking to adopt a cat, the Cat Distribution System stepped in and connected her with the one cat that it knew she would love - a sweet calico kitty that had been abandoned at a rescue organization.

After seeing the cat, who she would name 'Rue' upon arrival, she immediately fell in love. This whole story is a love letter to Rue, and it shows us the meowgical power that cats have on people. She says in the post that, "Rue has been the biggest blessing in my life this year", and we feel that. All our cats are blessings, and without them, we wouldn't be able to stay sane in this crazy world.

Read through this wholesome letter below, and soak up all the wholesomeness that can only come from the true love between a girl and her cat.

Back when things were still fun, cats ruled the internet. We're taking you back.

A lot has changed since the 2000s. Low-rise jeans are no longer in style, the baby beginnings of social media have now become titans of industry, and the world feels a whole lot smaller. But those aren't the only things that have changed - we feel that the internet has become a bit… darker. Maybe it's because we still had the innocence of youth back then, but we remember the internet being a much sillier and more pawsitive place. We played online with our friends, nurturing our NeoPets, listened to the Hamster Dance on repeat, and enjoyed making silly cat memes (AKA, Lolcats) while pretending figuring out ridiculous ways to spell things to make it sound like a cat said it.

Today, our feeds are full of biased news stories, advertisements, and scams. But we're changing that. Or rather, we're fighting against it by continuing to write the stoopidest, silliest, and most feline cat content on the internet. We're putting pawsitivity back on the internet, and we're doing so by continuing the great tradition of Lolcats: making homemade cat memes from cat lovers, for cat lovers

We're here to put cats back as the kings and queens of the internet, which is exactly where they should be. Ignore everything else for a few minutes and enjoy what the internet was created for: connecting people with common interests, and worshipping cats. Lucky for you, we're purrviding you an opportunity to do both in this very article. Enjoy this week's selection of fresh feline funnies, and we'll see you next week!

Each and every weekend needs to begin with warmth and giggles. That is crucial.

We really mean that. After a long week of work, a week full of drama, full of early mornings, full of meetings and people and responsibilities, a week during which we spend every waking moment thinking about going back home to our cats and just chilling all day… starting the weekend right is the most impurrtant thing for us to do. We need to step into Caturday on the right paw - with a smile. We need to go through the weekend collecting every bit of pawsitive vibes that we can, so that we could survive the week after. And if you are anything like us, then starting the weekend right means only one thing for you - starting the week with funny cat memes

Giggling at silly cat memes first thing in the morning is one of the best things that you can do for your soul in our opinion. It takes the 'giggles' off the checklist. And doing it while you are still in bed or while you are drinking a nice warm cup of coffee, or even just doing it with peace and contentment in your hearts - well, that takes care of the 'warmth' part. Some funny cat memes are everything that you need in your life right meow, we promise.

Cats are like fine wine - they only get more purrfect with age.

We think that there is a common misconception about senior cats. People think of them as slower, more tired, less fun. People think that they don't make quite as good pets as kittens do. That is why senior cats get adopted so much less than kittens and young cats. Of course, we, as owners of senior cats ourselves, know that none of this is true. We know that senior cats make ameowzing pets

We know that cats only get cuddlier with age, and that's always great. We know that cars wiser with age, meaning that even though their shenanigans are fewer, each one of them is more successful. We know that senior cats appreciate us, as their owners, more than kittens do, and that is also something invaluable.

Still, it seems that no matter how many times we say this, people still don't quite believe us. And that is exactly why we love threads like the one that we are covering today. One of our favorite things in the world is when a bunch of cat owners gather together and show off their senior kitties, giving them the love and appreciation that they truly deserve.

All cats, at the end of the day, are cats. We think that's why people keep confusing them.

Ever since we started noticing this phenomenon, we realized that it happens more often than you think. We have seen a story of someone accidentally adopting a puma, thinking that it was a completely normal kitten. We have seen multiple stories of people accidentally rescuing bobcats, assuming that they were easily adoptable house cats. And one of our latest favorite stories - a teacher who confused a house cat with a mountain lion and sent an entire school into a frenzy. It was just a chunky orange cat.

And today, yet another instance of this happening. A farmer confusing a whole bunch of Pallas' kittens for normal kittens. To give him credit, at least he didn't go ahead and adopt the bunch. He noticed that something about them was a little different fairly quickly, and he called people who could actually help and take care of them. And took care of them they did. In the cutest way pawssible - by pairing them up with two actual house cats who acted as their surrogate mommas until the fluffy wild kitties could be released back into the wild.

These meowgical cat memes of optical… We mean optiCAT illusions will have you scratching your head and then your kitty's head.

However, let's be honest, you were probably already planning on scratching your feline friend's noggin'. Optical illusions are already mind-boggling, so when they are optiCAT illusions, they're even more jaw-dropping. Because now you are both confused and swooning due to adorableness. We swoon for cats already. So now that they are confusing me and I'm looking even closer, the cuteness just gets even more intense.

You've heard of cuteness overload, but this is more like cuteness confusion overload. That may sound overwhelming, but we assure you, it is not. In fact, it is quite the opposite of overwhelming! It's actually very calming and centering to scroll through these cutie lil kitty memes. We love cats (obviously), so we could be here all day just sharing cat content with you. Okay, we actually do do that… So, you're welcome!

Anyways, come one, come all cats, we love you no matter what. Yes, even the spicy ones.

When cats jump up in your lap and start to purr, it's as if all of the problems in our human world dissolve and no longer matter. All that matters is the vibrating feline in our midst, the soft fur on our hands, and the cat-lovers' desire to keep them happy and cozy as long as possible. Flipping a switch in our brains, petting a cat is a cat lover's quickest way to a good mindset, and is seconded only by the most pure forms of feline love projection: Cat memes.

After a long day at work, the best feeling is coming home to your cat. Although they've been basking in the windowsill all day like furry little freeloaders and start meowing for a meal the moment you set foot through the threshold, these little critters have a special talent. As if they are purrfectly designed to boost our moods from zero to hero, kitties tickle our fancy with their too-long whiskers, their flickering tails, and their expressive globe-like eyes. Cats may also have a tendency to be entitled hellion nuggets, but at the same time, their feisty behavior only bolsters our eternal love for them.

A cat can truly do no wrong.

So if you're having a particularly tough week, where your boss is on your back, your bills are piling up, and the food in the fridge is all unappetizing, remember this. You still are remarkably blessed to have a cat in your life, regardless of whether or not it's a friend's feline, your parents' kitty, or your purrfect furbaby. Because when a cat has chosen you and hopped up into your lap, life isn't so bad after all.

Sometimes, cat lovers like to sit idly by as their cat feasts on their breakfast. It's not because we're jealous of our cat's lackadaisical morning, or because we have nothing better to do, it's because cats are so darn cute when they're crunching their kibbles, we can't resist hanging around for the the show. Like the most adorable ASMR channel online, cats crunching is the cutest phenomenon in the animal kingdom. While they mow down their bowl of food, there's a shadow of their predatory selves as they devour their meal. Meowing for more before the bowl is even empty, these tiny savages grip our hearts and souls with every tasty crunch.

If only we could have the same feeling of satisfied treat enjoyment.

Alas, my fellow feline fanatics, we can! While we may not always have kitty ASMR at our disposal (as we never want to overfeed our beloved floofy boys), there is one thing that we know at the I Can Has Headquarters will fill that hole in your appetite: Cat memes. With every silly feline funny and every goofy cat picture, cat lovers become satiated.

Treat yourself, and keep scrolling for a feisty fix of feline funnies, more crunchy and yummier than your cat's bowl of Friskies.

You never expect a single moment of kindness to change a life, but this tiny kitten's story proves how quickly everything can shift when someone chooses to step in.

A small kitten crossed paths with someone willing to notice her, and that made all the difference. She was tiny, frightened, and clearly didn't belong where she was, but instead of being ignored, she was picked up and protected. Sometimes kindness shows up quietly, in the form of simply saying, "Not this time."

When she got home, there was no debate with the other household memebers. No questions. Just a simple decision to keep her. Having that kind of support changes everything. It turns an emotional moment into a solid one and reminds you that caring isn't something you have to justify. It's something you act on. Knowing someone else stands with you makes compassion feel lighter, not heavier.

This rescue didn't happen on its own. It's part of a bigger picture made up of small, consistent choices. Feeding street cats. Checking on the injured ones. Making room for animals who don't have anyone else looking out for them. It's quiet work that doesn't always get noticed, but it matters. Each small act builds a safer world for animals who depend on it.

Now the kitten is warm, calm, and settling into a place where she's wanted. She's learning what full bowls, soft places, and gentle hands feel like. She doesn't know anything about decisions or moments that could have gone differently. She only knows that she's comfortable and cared for.
