( it's finally here )

So the first volume of Colorful: A SHINee Fanzine (I have to keep correcting Colourful to Colorful, because, British) has actually been out for a while, but I've only started sending out physical copies over the past couple of weeks, so it only feels properly real now, I guess. It's been a lot of hard work to get to this point, but I think it's been a success so far - all the feedback has been super positive and kind and everyone is so encouraging of the artists, which is so lovely and what it's all about at the end of the day.

We ended up with 16 participants for the first edition, including myself. Started out with a few more who had to drop out for various reasons which was absolutely fine. I wanted the submissions process to be really informal; I totally get why some fanzines are quite rigid and strict with the editorial process as sometimes you need to be to get a project done! But I just wanted this to be a bit of fun, an experiment really, an opportunity for the fan community to try something new. Not saying that there haven't been SHINee fanzines before - I know there have, and for a variety of other K-pop groups too - but this wasn't something that my particular part of the community had collaborated on before.
