Skyfall Fic Recs
Dec. 9th, 2012 12:45 pmHI HI HI If you want to come onto this Skyfall fandom with me here's some fics you should check out. Also I guess I don't really know how to write recommendations so under each link I tacked on what I enjoyed the most about each fic.
Apologies if I forgot some of the other ones I loved because my organizational skills are abysmal.
Not Enough by kiyala
A very hot fic where Q has to wear a vibrator to class. Love that this is a college AU where Q is a student in Bond's Management and Ethics course. Because of course CS students end up taking Management and Ethics and of course Bond would hit that.
Science vs Romance by mercura
On pinboard I said "Whoa. Very fun fic with sexual tension turned into a kind of sad number." and the author has decided to continue the story so right now it's a WIP with 3 chapters. VERY ENJOYABLE READ and is the kind of story where the character has to tell himself that he's not in attached but he really really is. And anyone who knows me knows I like that.
The Body Electric by 8611
Pretty much every fic from this author is flawless so you should check them out. But this has to be my favorite because Q is a cyborg which means he has to take his shirt off a lot. Ok no it's more serious than that. JUST READ IT.
Bit Bang Theory by manic_intent
This features Silva/Bond and 006/Q. Silva is "allergic to bad fashion" so Q advises Bond to wear ugly ties to keep the new M out of his pants. Starts off as humor but there is plot around the second half.
Synchronicity by stereobone
Bond invades Q's flat and then invades his pants.
It's Alarming Truly how Disarming You Can Be by sirona
Takes place after the movie. I liked how Bond rationalizes his feelings for Q and am now cheerleading for their romance. WHAT.
So You Were Never a Saint by paperclipbitch
I love this fic because it kind of goes back and forth between how competent Q is at his job and how he's as incompetent as anyone else at life.
Wheelhouse by recrudescence
Recrudescence mentioned that she was writing a fic where Bond couldn't believe that he slept with Q and that Q is still alive-- which is the story-- but I think she also wrote a fic where Q can still inspire Bond's boner despite having acne cream on his counter instead of lube. It's pretty amazing.

Lizzie Bennet Diaries Feelings
Oct. 30th, 2012 12:32 amBasically long story short: someone made me a vlogbrothers addict which in turn made me a Lizzie Bennet Diaries addict. And now I'm making sad faces because the Lizzie Bennet Diaries get less than 100k views per episode so I'm going to give a shot at pimping or not pimping since I'm actually just going to defer to Bookshop's LBD pimping post.
BUT HERE'S WHAT ESSENTIALLY IT IS: a modern adaption of Pride and Prejudice! And I've seen a P&P adaption of the movie, probably the newest one and always found that it was really hard to connect with any of the characters because I was always saying "what a stupid decision" and judging because I'm a horrible person. But I am super familiar with the vlog format and love this modern twist and I love ALL the characters including the characters that I thought I hated and OMG WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO MEET DARCY NEXT EPISODE PROBABLY OH MY GOD.
So here's the playlist of all the episodes so far PLEASE WATCH IT AND COME BACK AND TELL ME HOW AWESOME IT WAS FOR YOU AND WE CAN FANGIRL TOGETHER. I need a list of people to wave my arms at on Mondays and Thursdays!

Some background if you care: I've only ever watched one Bond movie ever and it was during a car drive back to school. I distinctly remember that I didn't even watch the end because my laptop ran out of batteries. the story of the lazy artist

So phen and I were going to do a reverse bang story about robots but I think both of us forgot to sign up for a date to post and I don't know if I should sign up or not. On the other hand I hadn't really drawn anything for inception since the big bang stuff and I've been kind of busy with having a job and playing DS all day long (HARVEST MOON TALE OF TWO TOWNS). But then when this happened I guess I was sad that I wasn't going to get to draw anymore so I started to draw something. I hope I can keep this ball rolling so I can fulfill some desires I find on the kink meme. And challenge myself to draw more than a single person on a blank background lol
