Okay, so I was chatting with my friend *J* earlier, and he sent me this link (because he knows what a huge geek I am). Now, I want it REALLY bad.
I have always wanted a telescope for the longest I can remember...but they've always been way out of my budget range. When I saw this price of the one, my jaw about hit the floor... NOT bad (for what it does)!
What is cool, is that it's very computerized... so you type in what you want to see, and it aligns it for you, etc. How effin' neat is THAT?! You can read more about it on the site.
So I think this baby is definitely going on my wish list ...rofl. Everyone I know IRL can split the price (it'll be like $20 each, rofl).
AND, I want to give a HUGE thanks to everyone who commented to the previous post. Pretty much everyone agreed and said option A and the more I thought about it, the more I agree as well. I tend to be a lot more active in the summer: walking, hiking, swimming, sports...etc.
AND, as many said, I can try out their 'free' pass (which most gyms do), and if I really do not like the atmosphere, I can always sign back up at the recent gym. So, thank you everyone!!
Oh, one more 'geeky' thing. I bought SIMS: Medieval and am kind of pissed at myself for spending the money. It is not at all like they tried to make it.
Things I really hate about it:
- You play 1 Sim at a time (sometimes 2 or 3 depending on your quests). So, if you 'create a family', you do NOT play the family as with other SIMS games. So, your kid is off doing whatever, and you're playing just the mother or the father (depending on the game).
- You HAVE to start with a monarch. You cannot create a 'family' and be just a peasant or a knight or a spy or whatever... you have to go through the quests. Now, maybe I haven't played it long enough since I am still considered a 'beginner' by the game...but I don't like that.
- Once you get used to playing a character, they switch it up so now you're playing a different character because the quests calls for that other character (So, you start with a Monarch, and just as you're getting used to her/him, they have you do quests with the Spy or the Medic or some other person, depending on what you have 'built' in your realm).
The things I like:
- Creating a Sim is like the recent SIMS3, so at least that was familiar to me and gives the player more options to a unique Sim.
- I do like the 'theme' and 'time period' and the 'dress/scenic' aspects of the game.
- I do like the 'quest' aspect of the game ... it makes it more interesting than just raising a family, etc.
That's about it. I do not think I will be buying any expansions for this game. AND, I am not buying ANY for SIMS3 until they come out with Pets. Lol.
