Since they are making more options for how to read entries here, I've started adding feeds here that I've had on my LJ, then removing some of those feeds from LJ, particularly the ones that are not related to someone I know personally.
The feeds I added today are:
askgarnet_feed - a chicago friend's blog about sex, sexuality, and gender
kukuburi_feed - online weird comic
marsphoenixtwitter_feed - feed from mars phoenix lander, may not have any new entries
strange_maps_feed - previously created, unusual maps
tastyflesh_feed - online comic of strippers and zombies
tobaccoavenue_feed - Like The Onion, but for Richmond Va
violentacres_feed - a person's blog - well written, but frequently irritating

If you want to exclude feeds but see all other entries, you can add ?show=PC to the URL to your Reading Page:

So dreamwidth friends, its been about six weeks since DW has been open, but unfortunatly most of the communities I've join don't seem to be active at all.
Which communities have you found to be active and good to join?
Similarly, which feeds have been active and good to join. I've been enjoying
badastronomy_feed although I wish there were a way to automatically employ cuts in feeds so each entry isn't so long.
