About Me
A member of the Sportsnet broadcast team since 2013, I have worked in a variety of roles with the national broadcaster, including TV and radio host, producer, writer, and content creator. Bennett’s work often touches on the intersections between sports, race, politics, gender and pop culture.
My multiplatform work has earned him some of the highest honours in Canadian media, including a Lester B. Pearson award, Ted Rogers award, Black Excellence award, and an RTDNA Canada Award. Most recently Bennett was presented the 2023 and 2024 Amnesty International Canada Media Award in the short-form video category.
Outside of creating content for Sportsnet platforms, I have been integral to the development and implementation of Sportsnet and Rogers Sports & Media’s Inclusion & Diversity strategy.
Born and raised in Toronto, I currently resides in Mississauga with my wife Kate and two toddler sons Desmond and Rowan.
