What is CARRY NARCAN?
NARCAN saves lives, and carrying it shows you care.
Even though opioid use among Nebraska college students is statistically low, overdose risk is rising due to fentanyl-laced pills and polysubstance use. In fact, most overdoses are accidental or unintentional.
That’s why the NECPA is partnering with colleges across Nebraska to make NARCAN easily accessible through NARCAN Care Boxes installed in common campus areas.
Carrying NARCAN doesn’t mean you use drugs or condone drug use; it means you care enough to be prepared, to protect your friends, classmates, teammates, and community. It means you believe every life is worth saving.
Let’s break the stigma, raise awareness, and build a campus culture where we look out for one another.
Coming soon, you'll be able to select your school below to find NARCAN on your campus, learn how to use it, and be ready to help. Be the reason someone gets a second chance, because when you carry NARCAN, you carry your community.
