Bake Anthem @ 24 Sin Ming Rd

Specially made a trip from the east side to Sin Ming to try their sourdough after reading all the rave reviews on Google.  Ordered online because some patrons said they usually sold out way before closing time.

Tough decision to decide what to order since everything seems so good, so finally decided to try out the multigrain, and the walnut & chocolate since many said it was good.

Online orders are to be picked up between 11am to 3pm. I was running a little late so I emailed to ask if I could come before 4pm but there was no response. Made it at 3pm at Sin Ming and saw that there were still quite many choices left.

The sourdough were ok.  I just wished there were more chocolate in the chocolate & walnut loaf.  Multigrain was ok too, the grains were quite fragrant after reheating the sliced bread in the oven.

I'll probably try out other savory ones if I happened to be in the vicinity.

Best of all, it’s very reasonably priced! Am a repeated customer that would travel down specially just to get these sourdough. It’s good that they have a strictly policy that they will only offer slicing service after 1pm, as this is to ensure the bread quality when we consume / store for the next few days.

I’m a sourdough home-baker myself and can attest Bake Anthem bakes fantastic bread. Crust is very flavorful yet not burnt not hard. Crumb is soft, fluffy, airy. Classics are wonderful. Their specialty flavours are fun.

We have been buying sourdough breads from  Bake Anthem during  their SinMing days. After their shift to new place, we continue to buy from them. Just that, we now opt for delivery cos it is a bit far for us. Yes! We are repeat customer! Love their sourdough breads. We freeze them upon delivery to keep fresh. Heat up in oven with butter spread. From freezer to oven - bread still soft n crust crispy ! Yummy !

Wonderful loaves frm Bake Anthem. I absolutely love their foccacia & jalapeno cheddar. I am committed to trying more sourdough. They are the 1ST bakery where i am eating & buying sourdough to bring home & eat. Wow?? What an influencer bakery, but without the false lights of artisanal aesthetic. They keep it simple.  They have a wonderful delivery promotion gg on right now so pls check them out & give this bakery an anthem & accolade they so deserve🎉👏👏

Bake Anthem makes some of the best sourdough I have tried. The crust is thin and crisp with an airy chewy center, and every loaf had its own charm. The dark chocolate walnut was rich without being too sweet and great on its own. The orange turmeric had a gentle tang that worked with both savoury and sweet spreads. The garlic tomato with sundried tomatoes was full of flavour and perfect for sandwiches. A place I always look forward to revisiting.
