Opting out:
If you would like to opt out of interacting with Velin altogether, for any reason, that's completely fine! Just comment below; all comments should be screened. No need to provide a reason.

Permissions for me:
Spoilers (OOC): I play Velin from the most recent patch for FFXIV. If you'd like to avoid spoilers past a certain point in the story, let me know and I'll do my best to avoid it! 
The Echo (IC): Velin has the ability to see other peoples' memories. It is not performed at will, so this is less of a "give me permission to see your character's memories" and more of a "I'm not going to use this unless you reach out to me to plan something." Feel free to ask if you do want it to happen!

Permissions for you, OOC:
Backtagging: Go for it!
Threadhopping: Ask first, but usually okay.
Fourthwalling: Usually not, but feel free to ask if you have something interesting in mind!
Offensive subjects: Nothing specific. I'll let you know if something's making me uncomfortable.

Permissions for you, IC:
Mental powers: Feel free to speak to him telepathically. He is immune to some forms of mental influence (e.g., certain kinds of mind control, most things that would have long-term effects) but not immune to mind-reading or mental attacks in general - if you're not sure, feel free to ask!
Kissing, hugging, flirting: Go for it. Contact me if you'd like to plan a specific reaction/scene.
Shipping: Totally happy to plan a ship, just get in touch! I'd prefer our characters have some CR first so we can figure out if they have a fun chemistry, though.
Fighting: Go ahead!
Injuries, death: I will write injuries for Velin on the fly based on how a thread is going. Contact me if you'd like to expressly plan your character inflicting a major injury or killing him.
Seeing magic/souls/etc: To anyone who can see souls/magic, Velin will appear to be imbued with bright light. To the more discerning, his soul may or may not appear to be about half as dense as a normal soul - feel free to randomize (or choose deliberately if you know the canon reason for this). Unless you're from his canon, in which case it appears slightly more dense than the average person. You know why.
Misc: Velin is trans. This should not generally be something other characters can notice unless he's buck-naked from the waist down. If a character does notice, I'm totally fine with them having a negative reaction or not understanding.
That said, I'm not really interested in having threads that are mostly about Velin being trans and reactions to it, whether positive or negative. I'd prefer to keep that to a tag or two if it does come up. (If you're a RPer I've known for a while, I'm down to make an exception, especially in the context of threading Velin with another trans character.)
NSFW: I am Not Goode at writing NSFW and am incredibly slow, I'd prefer to stick with RPers I already know, and Velin in particular is gonna have some stricter limits on what I'm comfortable with due to him being trans. If you're okay with that, contact me and we can figure something out!
