I'm Lea. 32. Live in a 100 year old tenement on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I have impossibly wonderful friends. A serious purse fetish. A financially crippling broadway problem. The usual.
Words that describe me: Loyal. Loud. Introverted. Masochistic. Bitchy. Guilty. Sarcastic. Impulsive. Funny. Hungry. Insomniac. Crazy. Impatient. Clever. Sorry. And probably going straight to hell.
My favorite things: The city before 6AM. The first few days of fall. . Kissing. Riding past the abandoned subway stops in the train. Watching bootlegs. Listening to "Light in the Piazza" straight through with my eyes closed. 5 hour conversations. Meeting new people who love the same things I do. Buying new blue jeans. Broadway people who write their own music - ALWAYS better than what is on the radio. Meredith on Greys Anatomy. Or Ellen Pompeo in general. When a song opens with cello. Slow dancing. Drinking Diet Dr. Pepper. Listening to the same song on repeat for hours. My iPhone. Blasting Patty Griffin or Joni Mitchell. The "Reefer Madness" commentary. Dancing in my room by myself. Having a "thin" day. Bottled water. Buying 4 books at a time from Barnes and Noble. Cast recordings. Gummi Bears. Buying things from Betsey Johnson. The songs "Clever" and "What If" and "Shine On" - for starters. Working for the library (most days).
I hate: Stupid people. Rain in the city in the winter. Being embarrassed by my Last.fm playcount. When the digital scale has a 2 pound difference within a 2 minute weighing period. When my metro card runs out and I don't realize it. The new subway cars that are too bright inside. Never having enough money and knowing it's my own damn fault.
