LAST_WRITES IS:
- a home for small vampire themed fandoms. It's a place to talk about the lively dead, to post fic about sexy blood suckers and to share artwork and vids. We especially want to emphasize and support work inspired by those television shows that were staked before their time. What do we mean by 'staked before their time?' We mean shows such as "Blood Ties," "Moonlight" and "Dresden Files." But any vampire themed show that is not in production is welcome here. We would also like to see work inspired by the classic vampires of film and novel. Think of Dracula, Carmilla, Nick Knight, Jerry Dandridge and Jesse Hooker. Think of those tragic and solitary (but for a faithful minion or two) figures who, for a few hours in the dark, made you feel strangely hot even while you were shivering with fear.

LAST_WRITES IS NOT:
- for shows that are currently being produced (and, no, "on hiatus" does not equal "not in production").
- for RPF
- for Twilight
- for the works of Anne Rice
- for crossovers with RPF, Twilight or the works of Anne Rice

Eligible fandoms: Any vampire-themed tv show that is not currently in production. Also vampire books and movies, especially if they are connected to a tv show. Fandoms that are explicitly included (and encouraged) are, but are not limited to: Blood Ties, Moonlight, all versions of Blade, Near Dark, Dresden Files, Kindred: The Embraced, Dark Shadows, Ultraviolet (TV), Ultraviolet (movie), Underworld, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Forever Knight, Kolchak: The Night Stalker and all versions of Dracula. We’ll add to this list as the hive-mind thinks of more.

Not included are Twilight, Anne Rice (books or movies) and any RPF.

Crossovers: Crossovers among any of these fandoms or between one of these fandoms and a non-vampire themed fandom -- whether in production or not -- are welcome, as long as the crossover is not with one of the explicitly excluded fandoms.

Spoilers: We are all fans of vampires here, but not necessarily familiar with every show. Try to be aware of at least the large plot twists in the source material you are posting about and give a warning where appropriate. However, if you should be spoiled, remember these are shows no longer in production and it’s not reasonable to expect extraordinary consideration with respect to spoilers.

Ratings: The community is labeled “viewing discretion advised,” which makes it available to underage users. Their discretion can best be supported if we label adult material as “adult” and put it under a cut.
