Rules

Don't be an asshat. We all like different characters and media and sometimes our preferences rub up against someone else's in the bad way and you know what? That is OK. Chill out and scroll on by. If you choose to offer constructive criticism, keep the focus on the work and be constructive.

Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.

The cut tag is everyone's best friend. Use it after the headers for all pieces, however long or short.

This community is for *all* fannish expressions, not just fic. We would love to read your meta, enjoy your recs, ogle your fanart and watch your vids.

For fic posting, use headers and identify the fandom. Use the subject line to give a quick overview: Fic [or Art, or Rec, or Meta, or Vid] - Title - Pairing - Rating - Fandom - Author

Here's a sample header format to use when posting. It's specifically for fic, but easily customizable -- just be sure to give your audience the info necessary we need to make an informed decision.

If you're posting recs or fanart, please adapt the headers as necessary.
Ratings should be MPAA or literally-aged (ie, All, 14+, 18+).

Include warnings for explicit violence, sexualized violence (including non/dub-con), and abuse of animals, children, and others unable to give consent. Include other warnings as you think appropriate and necessary. (These rules adapted, with permission, from those at chromatic_fanfic.)

Please tag your entry like this: [form]:[fandom], such as fic:NCIS, vid:Buffy, meta:SG-1. We'll wrestle other tags as needed.
