Well, yes. gigantic adorable dorks are a thing. But also I have a competence kink liek whoa, and found family is another thing that hits me where I live. I love characters who know what they're about, know they're capable, and might need to prove the whole world wrong. I love stories that are nuanced, characters who are nuanced, and relationships that are nuanced. I don't feel like much of this is different from what satisfies most of my friends, either. Which is probably why they are my friends.

As far as the house goes, so far it's a big old nothing. It's a buyer's market right now, and our house is on the expensive side for our town. So there haven't been any real bites (only initial nibbles), and we've taken it off the market for the winter. But it IS a good house, a gorgeous house, and a really good deal for a giant Victorian, if someone were interested in moving to Western Massachusetts and snapping it up.

Fingers crossed for next Spring, basically. And we're not in a panicked hurry, because Quentin's in private school now, so moving school districts is moot. But we would still like to live closer to family. And by family, I mean my found family. :D
