you are welcome to:

1) join - upon mod approval, you'll be able to read and post!!

➡ if you created a dreamwidth account solely for this community, welcome! however, if you used Ten Minute Mail or a similar disappearing/throwaway email service & didn't validate your account using the link dreamwidth sends before the throwaway expired, you will not be able to post, comment, or participate due to the site's limits on unvalidated accounts. this also means mods will not be able to contact you for verification (because dreamwidth won't let us message unvalidated accounts either) so your membership request may sit in member-approval purgatory or be deleted as spam. be sure to validate your account.

➡ we do not accept membership requests from blank journals/profiles. upload an icon, fill out your profile, add links to your other social media/ao3, write an intro post, just do something to let us know you're not a bot or a cop. if your journal/profile are blank we will attempt to message you for verification instead, but if we can't because the account is unvalidated, your membership request will either sit in member-approval purgatory or be deleted as spam.

➡ we approve most membership requests within a few hours! if it's been longer than that & your membership is still pending, it's because your profile is blank & we were unable to message you. validate your account or unblank your journal.

2) read - if you don't like something, it's up to you to navigate away. do not send abusive messages to other users. do not screenshot, copy, or repost content (particularly to other sites) without written permission from the author.

3) post - go crazy go stupid!! anything goes--but please warn us appropriately. a good entry header includes:
title,
wordcount,
pairing,
rating,
warnings for triggering content if any (please be mindful of others' triggers. common-sense triggers include: noncon/dubcon, death (human or other), drug use, mental health issues, abuse, pregnancy/loss, *-phobic language, violence, etc.),
and a summary!

your fic goes after that, either as a link to your own journal, or in full behind a cut.

4) tag - your fic, using the tags box below the main post box, so people can find and sort! we use #/# for pairings, with the lower number always first, or #/(non-member name here) for pairings outside the nine (that includes reader-inserts). rating (Gen, Teen, Mature, Explicit) tag is not required in the tag box, but will help people connect with your fic! trigger tags are mandatory. if you don't want to use a trigger tag for spoiler reasons but the work would require one, please tag with tw: REDACTED so people can be informed in their reading decisions.

only mods can generate new tags, so if you need a tag for a crossover/pairing/warning/etc that doesn't exist in our list yet, post yr entry & sit tight! the tag fairy will be with you shortly 🧚✨


5) comment & support!! - your fellow authors!! we thrive on comments, and since there is no hit count here, your interaction is vital. even if it's just an emoji (or a complex string of emojis), let your fellow authors know they're appreciated by dropping something if you enjoyed their fic. memes welcome, the stupider the better.




if you don't like somebody's work, just keep your mouth shut. not everything on the internet is meant for you.
