Prompt: July 29-11. Final Fantasy VII, Turks: Loyalty - werewolf AU
Loyalty
Tseng does not need to see the man to feel him tensing. He keeps his eyes on the file in front of him, ignoring the motions of the elevator as he read. He was sure that the man isn't looking at him, the hair on the back of his neck tells him as much. Most likely Reno is grinning at the man, fangs gleaming in the light.
Not that the man would ever have to worry about those fangs finding his throat, as long as he was loyal to Shin-Ra.
They were Turks. Packloyal to Shin-Ra and the man who ran it. So loyal that when Hojo had created his experimental cats, there had been werewolf genes mixed in, donated by the Turks. Just enough to keep that pack of werecats they called SOLDIERs loyal to the company, and willing to work together.
As the doors opened, Tseng glided out, Reno on his tail. They ignored the fact that they were watched, they were always watched, those around them always expecting one of the wolves to snap and kill.
They were weres, not some wild beasts, but Tseng did nothing to correct the way people thought of them.
It was a form of protection for his people, after all.
Only after he reached the offices that were the Turks and the Turks alone did the man relax. Reno saw it, and moved closer, nuzzling behind Tseng's ear for a brief moment before going to drop on the couch next to Elena. The blonde rolled her eyes at the sprawl, but that was it, going back to the file she was reading and taking notes on.
Rude was nearby, working on something small that smelled of wire and the sharpness of explosives. He gave Tseng a nod, and then went back to what he was doing.
Settling in his chair, Tseng looked at the others, a slim, almost hidden smile on his face. His pack was a good one, and he would do whatever he could to keep them safe.

Glad you liked it, though.
