Thanks to Facebook, LiveJournal has long ago ceased to be a means of keeping up-to-date on my friends' lives. As for my own journal, it doesn't really serve a purpose for me anymore.
I no longer get any fulfillment from writing periodic update posts, and anyone who I care to know about the important events in my personal life will hear about them from me through other avenues (usually email or phone). Additionally, all of my online fandom activity has moved over to Tumblr.
Therefore, I have decided that I will probably not be updating this journal anymore. I'll keep it around for reasons of posterity and nostalgia, at least for the foreseeable future.
