I am a stranger travelling from the west

So, graduation was graduation. I am now a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Drawing and Painting. Yay me! I'm all grown up now. *snickers* Have pictures but am waiting before I get the ones from Linda before putting some up.

Oh, and the first person who asks me what I'm going to do now will get a glare and a stern talking to. Just so you know. =)

After graduation, went out to the Boardwalk. Tons of family, picnic, things like that. After that, came back to the condo. Really tired. Took a nap for, like, two hours. Then ate and watched Return of the Jedi with Ray, Tish and Chris, but fell asleep while they were on Endor. Woke up somewhere during the duel between Luke and Vader and decided to go to bed. Which means I missed finally seeing Hayden!ghost. Should I be happy or sad about that? Hmmm...

Woke up this morning and have spent the majority of it (the time I haven't spent finishing up my packing) playing with my...brand new IPod! Yay mom and dad for getting it for me! =D 30 gig IPod Photo that I have named Rose because it is my new companion. *bg* I am sheep, I know.

And now, all I'm doing is waiting for my family to come up so that we can load up my stuff and go home. *weeps* No more living with Linda, Tish and Ray! I'll miss you guys!!!! ;_;

And that's seriously not something you hear often from me. Why? Well...

Oh. My. Fucking. God. I have the best friends in the entire fracking world. Just checked my e-mail to find that they got me a permanent account. Insert my mouth slowly dropping open. Massive, massive SQUEEEEEEEE. Thank you Linda and Ray and Tish and Corey and my parents too, 'cos Linda says they chipped in as well. I love you guys sooooo much!!!! *bounces up and down* LOVE!!!!

Had final crit with Frank today. His comments amused me. He said I was very design-oriented, that even my expressionistic work had that element of design to it, and asked if I'd ever taken any classes. I said no, and that that was one thing that I didn't like about the college, that they had no graphic design classes. =(

After that, did some stuff around town, though did not do the most important thing that was on my list, which was pick up my grad gown. -_- Will definitely do that tomorrow. Definitely. Then, Linda, Tish and I spent some time cleaning up the house. Well, actually, I made a mess of things as I packed up some of my stuff while Tish and Linda cleaned. =D And then I took a nap. Because naps are good. Very good. Mmm, nap...

...Abstract Painting left. Meep. Just one more class left and then it's aaaall over. Well, besides Open Studio. (Which, btw, if you are on my flist and go to the same school as I do? Well, you better have a DAMN GOOD REASON FOR NOT CHECKING IT OUT!!!! Friday, 12-4PM at Baskin Art! I'll probably by there around 12 or 12:30, probably staying until 2 or so.) And then next Saturday, the eleventh, is graduation. OMIGOD IT'S ALMOST OVER!

...but I'm not. Well, I was. Just, err, cut out for several minutes. Frank does it all the time! Nevermind that he's the teacher...

Working on a new painting. Frank was all, like, "are you schizophrenic?" when he saw it, because my last one was really very geometric, while this new one is very...not. It started off Pollock-esque, but is now not 'cause I wanted to do other things to it. Just waiting for it to dry before I do anything more. Lalalala...*time passes slowly*

Haven't really been doing much. Was working on the third draft of my artist's statement earlier and need to finish that tonight since it's due tomorrow. Yay. I think I'll probably be spending the weekend in-studio, since I need to really step up on my Senior Studio paintings. Again, yay. Ah well, it'll pass the time until I get the new Who dl-ed. *bg*

Feeling very bleah at the moment. I dunno if it's because I realized that a month from tomorrow, I'll be graduating. Graduating. Me. It's kind of a scary thought. =/
