Warning:  This is my original Journal.

Regardless of the direction I take this journal going forward, the original entries will remain.

If you find something that offends you, that would be a
you problem, not a me problem.
Check your triggers and work on them, don't let them run you.
It is not my job to cater to your trauma, it is your job to work on your trauma.
This is your only warning.

Anyway, this journal was my diary of sorts for the most part, on and off since 2004.
It has all my entries from LJ on it, DW isn't that old.

My primary intention for this journal is to talk about my favorite fanfiction.
My likes or pros and dislikes or cons about fiction.
My criticism about certain fics, because believe it or not,
this would be my platform.

And sometimes, I need to type it out to understand what is going on.
Plus, most authors have put a hard stop on entitled BS.

Which awesome sauce, but sometimes I'm not sure if what I have to say would be rude or not, so I decide to act from the saying "when in doubt...don't"

PLEASE NOTE:

Most if not all user pictures are from LJ.  IF I know who did them, the credit is in the description.  If you poach, please give credit where credit is due.

I don't normally post here. But I don't want to sign out and leave evil author day, so here it is.

I keep getting thoughts about getting a sewing machine, and learning how to sew. Also maybe taking classes in carpentry, so I can learn how to put things together. That requires power tools. I need to pay off some fucking debt.
irish_dragon: by Roxicons on LJ (Default)
I read a lot of fanfiction. I enjoy it. It also feeds my emotional landscape and bandwidth. I use it as a distraction, but I also read it. I enjoy it. And I like seeing people claim their own power all that shnaz.

But recently while reading 911 fanfiction some things are standing out. One of the Fanfictions that I read this past weekend showed Christopher being picked up from school, by a person with a badge, or an ID and leaving the school without authorization. Which I thought very suspect. Because if someone of a government and agency was picking up a kid from school there would need to be paperwork. You're not only supposed to flash a badge, and pick up a kid without any paperwork. Granted his father works for emergency services, but he still has an approved list of people who can pick up his son. And hit his son has been picked up by a government agency, the school could have called and probably should have call. Carla should not have been picking up christopher, not knowing he wasn't there. Someone should have been notified that he was not at school. Granted there are Fanfictions out there where the school has somebody who willfully disregards protocol. This wasn't it.

Outside of that unless something has changed in the 20 or 30 years since my father has been in the military, or my best friend's ex-husband was in the military, fanfiction that shows Shannon being very upset that she did not receive any Financial support, the she doesn't want to have to pay child support. Is Bull shit!

And I know I know, this is lack of knowledge. People don't know what's going on in the military, and they can't write what they don't know. So let me educate you. If your spouse is in a war zone, your spouse that is living in the states with your kid gets most of the money. Not only that they get like a bonus for your spouse being absent from the household. In the storyline and in Canon Betty's family ripped off military property. Which means they weren't on the base. When you opt to live off post, you get an allotment for the median cost of rent or mortgage in your area from United States military. Hello? No mention of that. Not only that the service person in a foreign country get to set amount of money from his paycheck for him and the majority of it goes to his family. Where's that money? So her saying that she had no financial support for taking care of Christopher while Eddie was deployed, is bs.

Random observation fanfic thoughts.

Because my schedule is kinda like the Rough Trade this month.

It's been weird.

I introduced one of my client's today to some of my favorite places to be in fanfiction.

She already read fanfiction.

I asked her if she knew about Rough Trade, Quantum Bang, Jilly James, or Keira Marcos?

Listed off some stories I've read.

One of my personal favorites being Harveste Addams.

Talked about a Labryinth HP crossover, NCIS cross over with HP, Sentinel crossovers with HP and 911.

Seriously, I think I enabled her Fanfiction Addiction.

Which is cool we need more readers.

So i'm experimenting with how early I need to get up in order to have my breakfast before I leave the house.

I've been doing the Medical Medium Morning routine which includes, citrus water, celery juice, and a metal detox smoothie.  I also am working on getting Aloe Water into that.

6 am is not early enough.  I need to shoot for 5-530 a.m.

It takes about a 30-40 minute commute in the morning to get to work.  I can consume my breakfast on the way.  But right now I've been leaving early enough that I can consume the smoothie before I start my work day.

What my primary goal would be, is to get to consume it before I leave the home.  Then bring like a snack that can hold me over to lunch.

I'm very sensation kind of eater.  This means if there is a texture or unknown that comes about, I might have a gag reflex or I wont be able to finish the meal because it's an unknown for my meal.  If I know that there will be bones in my fish, then I'm good, but if I find a bone while I'm eating it, then I won't eat more, because of a fear that it may effect my throat, which I am aware is a trauma response of a childhood full of coughing.

So if my throat was pinged and I didn't know quite what was going on, or I got a tick in the throat and I would just cough for minutes, and it was either ride it out or hack it out.  It took me as an adult to find treatments that actually work.  Because it always feels like I'm trying to clear something out, or ex-spell something from my body or energy field.

When I first started this journey, I noticed a lot of my allergies are diet related, including the severity of animal fur allergies.

Life is a journey with lots of curves, dead ends, and adventures.

April Rough Trade is shaping up to being very exciting.  I can't wait to see what people start writing and how many will actually be completed.

These are the titles I'm interested in.  As always I will read almost anything by Keira or Jilly.

Rough Trade: April  )

As Always Rough Trade is a Challenge and not a permanent hosting site.  You can link, but at the end of the challenge and the beginning of a new one the stories will vanish off the site, and the link will die.

poor poor link.

I have all of these favorites for Fan Fiction stories on my archive, that I'm sometimes or most of the time lost looking for my personal favs, and why I like them. I'm thinking about linking them here, with my personal reason why I like them. AOOO has this option, but in some regards the stores are steamy and I get wet just reading them.

I would rather put that on my of the grid journal than out in the open forum of the net.

So today is the 27th of Feb.

33 ish all day, freezing rain and rain just in time for the commute.

This winter has been weird.

Usually Feb is the coldest month of the season.

We have not had 2 weeks of below zero temps.

It's been more like Ice box, freezing, above freezing, icebox, repeat. every couple days.

not that i'm not grateful not being in the icebox, but ....

While watching some of the shorts and looking at some patterns in the the GOT and HOTD series.

It appears to me an underlining conspiracy to undermine the Targaryens, that then ended in the genocide of the family. As close as they could get anyway.

I don't think it's something that I've seen in any fanfiction.

Just a what if that plotzed into my mind.
irish_dragon: by Roxicons on LJ (Where Do I Stand)
and I wasn't worried about it.

The medication is bringing down the inflammation on the sides of my inner throat, though it's still sensitive and slightly swollen in areas, the texture is gone. This morning I woke up with a slightly swollen Uvula, but not as bad as yesterday. Though my throat is happier with something going down. The cough drops I had expressed shipped yesterday, because none of the stores had Jakemans in stock, so I paid the extra to get yesterday night. Which helped.

My energy was better today. I didn't want to go back to work today and undo all the rest I did yesterday. While I do still plan on returning to work tomorrow, I feel really good about my decision to stay home today. I did need to go out and do some grocery shopping, to which I wore my mask because, hello, it's necessary for me right now.

But I'm glad that this hit, because whatever it is, it allowed me to go to Urgent Care and get my numbers. I think it's put me on notice. Because I've been thinking about cleaning up my diet and for a small part I have started cleaning up my morning routine, but I don't necessarily have a plan. It's more like this is cool, let's try it.

My roommate plans on going the Keto route, I'm looking into going into the raw diet. I've done it before, just got bored. It's something I can see myself being consistent with, because my body really enjoys that type of fuel. I'm a little apprehensive because of the supply chains right now.

But my father asked me about the freeze dyer for food. I responded with those are pretty pricey. He said it could be too much for just Mom and him, but ti could be shared between a group of people to do food prep. I would be so for it.

I bought a dehydrator recently, and I would like to to experiment with it more.

I accidentally, apparently reordered an order that I actually rcvd from Amazon, and they said keep it. Which means I have another order of mylar bags with labels and both households do have vacuum sealers.

If you like the Leo King, he's running a special on ALL of his classes. $100 for all his classes with the exception of his most recent one, or $500 including the most recent. Considering his classes are $1500+ that's a good deal. I went for the $100 option, since the manifesting class will be there for $400 regardless.

So according to my numbers from the Urgent Care I am considered Stage 1 Hypertension. Which puts me at the lowest level of high blood pressure. I've never been this high.

I've been dragging my feet on several choices, and this has shown me that I can't anymore. I'm not sure where this path will take me, but it'll probably be exciting.

So yesterday I noticed that my rear passenger side tire was low on air again. Last week I had top off the air on all four tires and I noticed that my passenger side rear tire was extremely low.

It was lower than any of the other three. So I was concerned. So this week I was going to top off the air on the tires again, and I noticed that the back tire was again low.

So I contacted my mechanic and asked if he could look at it today, but today has some appointments that he is already committed to. And he said he could look at it tomorrow, which is Wednesday.

I wasn't sure that I would be able to make Wednesday morning work last night, but then I started looking at my options and I'm pretty sure I could have done it. But I wasn't for sure about it.

Today I went out and checked the car and I was going to see about doing Wednesday, but I remembered I have AAA and I called them.

They came out and switched the tire out for my donut and put my poor tire in the trunk. We had to go to couple gas stations first because the mechanic had no air on his truck, but we did it.

Poor guy has some shit going down in his life.

So now I feel much better about driving to work tomorrow and home in the evening then I did before, especially since the tire was flatter than a pancake. It definitely has a nail in it though, but it doesn't look like it's damaged any of the outer wall. Just through the inner tread.

So I'll call my mechanic tomorrow morning-ish and set something up for Thursday.

Mostly just DW now.

I was on TT, but something strange happened on Saturday which resulted in my phone restarting and when it all came back all my sign ons for TT were gone, except for 2. And it doesn't recognize my sign on for my main account. Weird. But okay, I'll take it as a sign. Because I was considering cutting back anyway.

This forces me to cut back because I can't sign into my my main account.

oops

I also am cutting back on Insta. FB was gone as of last year in January.

There is some shit I would like to do, and well. There's that.

smelling my Grandma's house.

I wonder what she's trying to say.
irish_dragon: by Roxicons on LJ (Shadow Bat)
I hope I didn't scare her away, but we also may not have exactly what she is looking for.  But if she is willing to start small and take what is available which would widen as time goes on, she could work out.

We were talking about prior chiropractors, and how not all really see the merits of massage in their practices.  She comes from one that only sees the benefit of massage in 10 to 15 minute intervals in relation to the adjustment, and they aren't honest of the consideration of longer sessions, which rubs her the wrong way.

But I've met Chiropractors like that, just as I've met Western Medicine thinking doctors like that where they don't see the merits of integrative health care or practices.

All of us have something to offer or maybe more than one thing to offer, but not all of us are for everything.

I find it interesting because I think I was channeling for a part of the conversation, because I can't quite remember aspects of the conversation, which sometimes happens when I'm channeling.

I was able to do a massage outside of work for my boss which enabled me to buy some gas and go to the Co-op.

I communicated that my hours are changing beginning in the month of July, though there are areas through out the next 2 months were the hours start as the days allow.  Beginning in July I will work most Thursdays and be moving my hours to 9-3 from the 10-3 and 10-4.  Depending on how I feel with the change, I plan on doing another hour back to 8 a.m.  Which will be either 8-2 or 8-3.

I'm really enjoying getting off as early as I am with the 3 p.m. stop.  Because when I get off that early, I'm actually eating my dinner at 4 or 5 ish.  Which is actually pretty good for me.  I would rather eat that early rather than late.

I didn't think that I would be able to start at 8 a.m.  But if I'm willing to do 9 a.m. then I think I may be able to do the 8 a.m.  Depending on what is going on.

It's also before the heavy rush hour, which is awesome.  And working from 9-3 will allow me to get off with the sun in the winter rather when it sets.

I'm going to have to figure some shit out.

I'm planning on buying another bolster for work, but the client wants the chiropractor to buy it. I'm like if I'm a 1099 associate wholly than I need to purchase it. It's tax deductible for me.

Also ... Fuck!

I owe 610 to the federal and 344 to the state.
I need to start paying quarterly taxes
and shit!

This was why I wanted all my tax documents when they were due dammit. So I could know what the fuck was going on and have enough banked to pay the fucking taxes.

*grump*

I can file electronically and mail the payments, which is most likely what I'm going to do. I did it when I didn't have the money before. It's just I could have started before, but I do better if I know things before hand.

But the good news is my taxes are done. All I have to do is print them or efile them.

So there's that.

Good News I drank 3 bottles of water today. YAY!
irish_dragon: by Roxicons on LJ (Slow Down and Enjoy)
So in the interest of things not going as planned. I was listening to the Leo King at the beginning of this week, and he had stated that the week will probably not going to go as planned. And to prepare for it. And 90% of the time, my week goes quite well. But this week, has been weird.

So on Monday, I was coming home from work and doing the things that I need to do on Monday and my check engine light came on. But everything that I was seeing was okay except for the check engine light was kind of flickering. So I went home and I called my mechanic and made some time for Tuesday. Needless to say things did not go as planned on Monday.

Now on Tuesday I was up at o dark thirty, and I went to the restroom, and then I heard water dripping through the wall and then coming out the medicine cabinet. That warranted to emergency maintenance call. Then I called my mechanic, and went to see him. The original plan was an oil change, and I wanted him to check out my belts, because they were doing things that belts do. Make noise.

Then things did not go as planned.

Now today, Wednesday.

*sighs*

I am grateful that the Universe allowed me to get off work early. Because it is sleeting where I live, and that means I don't have to drive in this shit at 4 during rush hour. Which is awesome. Just saying that.

My first client was supposed to be in at 10 AM. She had made her massage appointment with her chiropractic appointment the last time that she had come in. She did not show up, she sent in a family member. She told that family member that she had made this appointment for her, as a surprise. Normally if it is a surprise, you make the appointment for the person in question, and then there is a note attached to the appointment that says confirm with this person and not that patient, so it is a true surprise. That is normally how you do it.

So no, she did not do it that way. Now at the beginning of the week I do confirmation text. In that text I verify the time and length of time of the appointment. And I also state if you are unable to make your appointment or you need to make changes, please contact us at this time the previous day. At no time did this patient tell us that a different person was coming in. Nor did she contacted us to tell us that she was canceling her chiropractic appointment for the day.

So Not only was her family member surprised, we were too!

Now the reason why you need to put your appointment or the appointment of the person who is coming in on the schedule, because if this is a new patient it requires a little more time investment, and it may require additional paperwork, which we need to know ahead of time.

Then, my second appointment, which was a two-hour. She late cancelled, because her son is ill. And her babysitter Late cancelled.

Now I did my due diligence, and called everybody that we had on the on-call list, and everybody declined. This meant that I got to go home.

When I got home, as I was sitting in my car, it started sleeting. I'm so very grateful that I got to go home early, because that meant I didn't have to drive in this shit at 4 o clock.

So we're three-for-three. Monday did not go as planned, Tuesday did not go as planned, and Wednesday has not gone as planned.

I had a conversation with a random older veteran while I was at the mechanic's today.

Apparently, one of his buds had been sick with Covid 5 months prior to visiting him, and he still looked poorly. The next day he had felt ill so he went to get tested, and the hospital he went to was unable to do tests, but did xrays. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia and a blood clot, which then was diagnosed as Covid, and he was moved to the Unit, all the while saying he didn't have Covid. Three days after admittance, he finally got to someone who took him for a walk, did some some physical checking, and agreed, he didn't have Covid. Since he checked himself out AMA at that point, after getting meds for his Pneumonia and Blood clots, they started billing him for his stay in the Covid Unit. He was recommended to claim hardship, and was granted.

He's the second person that is in my circles that has had this kind of experience at the hospital. The first one is a cancer patient, and they denied her care while in the hospital, because she wouldn't authorize a vaccine shot or the "recommended" medication for Covid Treatment. To which she was admitted for Pneumonia. She was denied fluids and antibodies for treatment. Her Chemo doc was pissed when he checked on her.

He was an interesting bloke. He admitted he's not vaccinated for Covid, and that he has been bullied because of his choice, then asked me my status. Which I declined, because it was none of his business.

But he tried to get me to talk about "fake news" and at the end of our convo he stated that all people in the medical profession were bad and evil.

Both points I did not agree on. Personally, yes there is fake news, but most of the stories that were coming out at the beginning of Covid were news and sourced material that was valid, but it didn't support the narrative that was being portrayed and was summarily dismissed or reported.

Now those same stories are being revisited and wow, most of them are valid, who would have thought.

But in regards with the Medical Profession, like teachers and law enforcement, nurses are on the front lines. Isn't interesting that it is the front lines that are being vilified?

Which last year when I was talking about this, I mentioned that the front lines are just a symptom of the problem. Where does policy, ordinances, and laws come from? They usually come from the various administrations.

So while everyone is paying attention to the front lines, what's going on behind the lines that you're distracted with?

That's an interesting thought train.

So today I went for a walk about. I decided my destination would be one of those little libraries. Last year when I went by it, it had a hardcover of women who run with wolves. And when I went back for it, it was gone.

*sighs*

So I went to it today, and I had a large selection of sci-fi in there. None of which was I interested in. I stopped by two more, that I wasn't expecting, and none of them had anything I was interested in. I do enjoy those little libraries, they are excellent for purging.

So every once in awhile, I feel the need to purge. Sometimes it's books, tarot decks, clothes, furniture, Etc.

But these little libraries, are excellent for purging journals, books, and Tarot and Oracle decks.

You can find all sorts of things in these things. Cook books, books on every single subject, and every single genre, tarot decks, recipe cards, binders, anyting magazines. They're just wonderful. Excellent modes of purging.

Especially if you don't mind if your books find their way back to your apartment building through someone else.

Russia is planning on removing themselves from the Global Internet.  If you have a Livejournal, please consider where LJ's servers are located, because that would be Russia.

That would mean that if this takes place, your could lose access to this data after the 11th.

Might want to consider backing up that data.

Though it might also explain why the cross posting feature to LJ has been been fritzy.

My roommate and I went shopping today. Retail therapy for the win.

None of the stores we shopped at required masks, though we had them on hand just in case.

It was wonderful.

It was also wonderful not to receive the look for not wearing them.

Retail therapy netted SkinnyTaste Air Fryer Dinners, The Body Keeps The Score, and World of Flowers coloring book, plus 3 sets of sheets, wipes, soap, hair bands, and refill of conditioner.

The book The Body Keeps The Score intrigues me. It's also a book that lots have been talking about on Tik Tok about working through trauma and how the body does keep score on it.

The cookbook had several Air Fryer Recipes that were plant based.  The World of Flowers had some interesting pictures that I would love to color.

irish_dragon: by Roxicons on LJ (Be Careful of what you wish for...)
I've seen a couple videos lately on Tik-Tok that are notable for me.

The first one was a young man who it stated that you cannot force someone to wake up. No matter how many videos, statements, or attempts you make, the only way someone will wake up or hear that message is by choice or when they are ready to hear it.

You can try and force a sleepwalker to wake, but those of us who Sleepwalk through life, will never wake until we make a choice to do so. There are those that are forced awake, which causes its own set of traumas. Sometimes they will go back to sleep, and sometimes they will become a warrior, maybe not for the cause even thought you were trying to teach.

This could be said for healing as well. You can force someone to heal, but in doing so you can force upon them a different trauma then the one that you were wishing to heal. Notice that word, you. Healing is not about you, healing is about the individual that chooses to do the work. When you are working with someone to help them heal, ultimately it is their choice on whether or not they choose to heal.

It's interesting that so many people acknowledge that there is healing to be done, but they don't take into account that that healing needs to be done on a personal level in most cases, and it must be of their own free choice and will.

Trying to force someone to awake or heal can usually end up with you being very tired and having a sore throat because they refuse to budge at this time. All you can do is teach, yelling does not solve it.

We ourselves are a collective, we are all Souls on this planet. We may not be all from this planet on a soul level, but we are all here. Any healing that we do on an individual level, does reverberate along the collective. That means any trauma that we facilitate upon each other, can also affect the collective. So if we are going to force someone to heal, how does that then affect the collective?

Food for thought

The second video that I have seen recently was at a protest against the unvaccinated. Someone who is interviewing a demonstrator was asking her to explain her sign. A sign that she was showing simply said unvaccinated need to be gassed. He asked her to explain this statement to him. And she had said basically that she believed that the unvaccinated should be shipped to camps and gassed.

He then asked her to switch the sign over. The opposite sign said the same thing except it had the addition of a swastika on it. When she was questioned on the similarity between her message on her sign and the message and what was done in WWII Nazi Germany, it was interesting to see her thought process do a hiccup. But what was really interesting is when she came back and said what she was trying to convey and what went on in Nazi Germany were two different things.

My mom doesn't understand how educated people today can think in this manner. I stated that education is different than knowledge.

During 2020 you could tell where someone was coming from from the information that you gleaned in a conversation. You could tell whether their political party was, what their views on the vaccinated versus unvaccinated, or their views in regards with covid-19 just on the response of an opening volley. You could tell if they watch mainstream media, Independent Media, or do their own research.

Which I find very interesting. You have the news media stating that people are not scientists why are they researching. Which I don't know about you, but all through school I was either given a topic or volunteered a topic to do a paper on. Where I would have to research a subject matter, and present it to the class. That does not make me a scientist does it? But it does teach me how to look at facts and data and correlate a paper on it and form an opinion. Does it not?

All you have to do is do your own research of History, and you'll find Excellent examples of the propaganda that we are facilitating through media at this point in time being repeated in varying different degrees across history against groups of people. How did that turn out for them?

The trauma that comes from what we've been going through since 2020 will be interesting to see. It will be interesting to see the ripples through the generations going forward and back, as people grapple with the consequences of what has occurred in the last couple years and going forward.

There will be people that believe that they are right regardless of what side they are on, and when this is all over they will still believe that they are right even when there are so many dead. There will be people that believe that what they did was right, only they could have done it better, and saved more. There will be those that believe that what they did was wrong, and may never be able to make it right.

It's all based on perspective isn't it?

So if you do anything tomorrow, remember if you have any ballots or representation to vote for do so.

Please remember it took our collective asses to land here, and it started at the local level.  So maybe if we can start changes at the local level we can change the shit going on in washington.  Just saying.

The election cycle locally has been horrid.

In other news I'm automatically renewed in the State run insurance until the "emergency" has passed.  Then they will start sending out renewals.

So start preparing for possible shortages in food and supplies now.  This includes seeds.
