intoparadiseit is the nba offseason once again which... kind of sucks, kind of doesn’t. the regular season was honestly kind of terrible as a #warriors fan like it was so painful to follow them whyyy did i do that. the playoffs were also bad for the warriors considering they got eliminated by the 🤢🤢 LAKERS. like how terrible is THAT? the rest of the playoffs were quite fun though, once they were removed from the equation [which i had to keep reminding myself during the reg season would happen]. mostly because i found another team to bandwagon<3 and then miami promptly put me through Lots of turmoil. and ended up being terribly outmatched in the finals which made the games kinda miserable for me to watch but. that is what i get for being a bandwagon i guess.
favorite player ranking
1. bam adebayo (miami heat): ughhhh i think he’s perfect. when i was getting into the heat i thought jimmy was gonna be my favorite player just because he’s Insane and i’m into that but bam snuck up on me! it does help that he was miami’s best player in the finals but that’s besides the point (bc i can’t exactly do this ranking based on Playing Ability, nor do i have any interest in doing so). he’s just. so charming without even Meaning to and it’s funny how he exaggerates how much he hates press conferences. and he’s so FINE??? also the 2017 draft class (like: bam, jayson tatum, de’aaron fox, donovan mitchell, etc) are so fun. i need to know more.
2. paul george (la clippers): canonical wife guy. cringe. fail. loser. podcast guy but his podcast is so??! like this dude does not even do research on his guests he just just goes: From My Experience and is like yeah that’s good enough (and lets his co-hosts aka friends carry). i actually really like the ep with a’ja wilson - she’s sooooo. i WILL get into the wnba for her... it’s coming along. but anyway i do think pg is gonna remain ringless like the kawhi leonard/paul george clippers experiment was a FAILURE and tbh it’s kinda poetic<3 i think pg coming to the clippers just for kawhi and kawhi coming to the clippers on the condition that they get pg on the team is so insane. like YOU say “superteam” I say it’s equivalent to getting married to someone you just met. like, what. they met up a couple times at drake’s house and then just decided that they were soulmates. and it makes me insane to think about. like what do you mean both of them said they wish they could have stayed on the same team when they were both drafted to the pacers? that kawhi wanted pg traded to his team when he was on the spurs? they need to be Studied. also paul george is legitimately THE prettiest player in the league<3<3
3. steph curry (golden state warriors): idk man... steph will forever be the most fun player to watch to me. he is simply Not Human. everytime he shoots the ball you think it’s going in!!! i cannot say that about anyone else. jj redick called him out for being an asshole but tbh he’s just always in a silly goofy mood lmaoo. and ofc he is the perfect <3 franchise player <3 except the rest of the roster is not looking too hot rn.... it rly is a shame he got knocked out of the playoffs so soon because i wish i got to watch him more. like i was busy the day of game 7 against the kings and i was SO NERVOUS bc i thought they were fr gonna blow it but curry dropped 50pts and that was the moment when the playoffs promptly started and ended being good to warriors fans. i love him though i’m glad i was basically brought up on his greatness.
4. kevon looney (golden state warriors): i told my brother at the beginning of the season that he was my fav warriors player and he was like. Huh??? but i stand by that. he just minds his own business and is consistent as fuck and is a rebounding genius and keeps the team together, no biggie. iron man!!
5. tyrese haliburton (indiana pacers): i don’t actually know much abt him but i think he’s sooo cute T_T my brother has always said that he wishes the warriors drafted him instead of james wiseman, and i used to be like haha that would be cool bc he’s obviously better, but actually decided i don’t agree?? like there’s something charming about him leading this flop under .500 team. like LOOOK i see it now: it’s not about winning, it’s about the narratives!!!!
6. jimmy butler (miami heat): like i said. he’s insane and i’m into it. like ig his whole career the media has lovedd making him into the villain but really, he’s an asshole and he has #quirky taste and he just loves his teammates so much!!!! i love his random instagram story posting. and how he’s always appreciation-posting his teammates on main. my FAVORITE insane story is how the big face coffee thing during the bubble. from charging all the other players $20 for coffee he was making in his hotel room to actually turning it into a real business lol. obsessed with it
7. demar derozan (chicago bulls): i just think he is So Handsome..... no notes

thoughts on teams
- boston celtics: when you’re doomed by the narrative. WHEN YOU ARE YOUR OWN DOWNFALL. (i can relate) i said this before and it still holds true, i like jayson tatum and jaylen brown, but i like watching their downfall more... i was so distraught when they came back to win three games in a row after being down 0-3 against the heat, but at least it produced an insane video of the jays in the locker room after. and then they just got even more humiliated by being stomped on their home floor lol so. all in all their series against miami couldn’t have played out more perfectly tbh
- miami heat: ahhhh i fell in love with them. my dad said he was rooting for them bc he wanted to see an 8th seed win and i kinda just followed suit lol. we ended up sharing mostly the same opinions abt teams. idk people kept describing the team as “tomfoolery and the power of friendship” which basically sums up why i like them. like why would you root for a team that’s Objectively Good when you could just root for the underdogs who don’t make sense and are fueled by spite and love for ur teammates..... it is annoying that the commentators always have to bring up how so many of the players are undrafted bc like does it even matter??!! the draft is not exactly the end all be all indicator of skill/talent. it was sad to see them like. be outplayed by the nuggets bc i rly wish that series was more competitive >_< but i guess spite and friendship can only get you so far.
- golden state warriors: okok the stuff that’s happened so far has already been CRAZYY. for one, i’m sad about the jordan poole trade because i feel like he just ended up having a bad season and made the whole fanbase hate him. but it’s probably good for him to get out of here anyway and i rly hope he becomes a star in washington. also it’s kind of hilarious how everyone was begging for him to get traded only for him to get traded for CHRIS PAUL??? who. well. me and every other warriors fan Does Not Like. apparently dunleavy (the new general manager) was the most hated player when HE played on the warriors during his career which um. would explain a lot?? i honestly do not see them winning another championship now - which is good bc like. you can never be disappointed with low expectations! they also got rid of some of the rookies but rn i’m just praying that they don’t get rid of moody/kuminga too. i honestly dgaf about the draft because those kids are not going to see the court anytime soon if steve kerr has anything to say about it sooo.
- denver nuggets: my friend likes them (despite not being from denver lol), which is why i just. Can’t. objectively there’s nothing to hate about them but honestly i can’t find that much to Like either?? congrats to them, though, it could be a worse team winning it all<3

1. patrick beverly stealing a photographer’s camera to show the official that a foul happened and IMMEDIATELY getting a tech LMAO. and on this random game against the celtics lebron rly fell to his knees bc they were going to overtime. this was yall’s dream finals matchup???
2. this andrew wiggins/jordan poole interaction<3<3 the Rituals (postgame interview interruptions) are so intricate
3. the jays turning the all star game into 1v1. when you're in love and you have to make it everyone's problem :| also the fact that jaylen was wearing the mask bc jayson broke his face lmao there's so much here.
anyway. the season is now over which means i can’t be delusional anymore. actually scratch that - i am also getting into mlb which might be a bad idea but! the giants just ended a 10 game win streak and here i am already dreaming about them bringing the world series back here TT we shall see (when it doesn’t happen)
