Sound Bath Sessions 111: Mae Kwan

Mae Kwan, founder of Mase and Mase Lifestyle, suggested recording outdoors at the Botanic Gardens. Despite the encroaching midday heat, I was excited to record outdoors. For this recording, we tried to find a quieter place to record eventually settling on a spot near the entrance gate. We could not escape the jets practicing for National Day as they flew by several times. Mae again included it in her composition with each flyby a signal for a transition of some kind, either with pitch or rhythm. It is subtle but noticeable if you take a step back and listen with a wider perspective. One of my favorite recordings.
