India’s fitness industry is changing. Our cities are leaving us with less time, more traffic and increasingly less motivation to commute to a gym. That’s why smart home fitness is becoming one of the biggest shifts in the industry. Instead of buying multiple machines or paying for a gym membership, what if one device could bring an entire connected gym into your home? That’s where Portl comes in. Portl is backed by T-Hub #Hyderabad connected to the larger technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem - and they’re building what could be the future of home fitness. They’re building smart fitness systems that combine strength training, cardio, guided workouts and real-time performance tracking, essentially turning a small space at home into a personalised gym. And the interesting part is the technology. Portl uses AI and connected hardware to make workouts more personalised, track performance and help users train without needing a personal trainer standing beside them. The future of fitness might not be another gym. It might be the gym that fits inside your home. Video created by: gen.E

What if reaching space could become as routine as catching a flight? SpanTrik is working to make access to space as rapid and reliable as modern air travel, reducing launch costs, shortening timelines and helping satellites reach the orbits they are built for. The journey started with hands-on experimentation. Beginning in 2022, the team completed 100+ small rocket launches over two years, using each test to strengthen its understanding of rocket hardware and flight systems. That groundwork led to Eureka, a cryogenic rocket engine capable of multiple restarts and full throttle control. The team is now building Leapfrogger, its next test vehicle, designed to reach an altitude of 8 km and land back safely - a step towards Raven, Spantrik’s fully reusable launch vehicle. An SISF grant facilitated through #THub supported the development of Eureka. Through AIC T-Hub Foundation’s SpaceTech Programme, Cohort 1, Spantrik also sharpened its business direction, strengthened its financial projections and built connections across the space-tech ecosystem. One such connection progressed from an MoU to an LoI and eventually into a paid pilot, turning an ecosystem connection into a real business opportunity. For the Spantrik team, the takeaway is simple: the right programme can help sharpen your market, strengthen your pitch and connect you with people who can move your journey forward. Hitendra S., Kajal Rajbhar and the entire SpanTrik team, the journey towards reusable spaceflight continues. Building in space tech? 20 days ago, Vikram-1 made history. Here's what makes this rocket genuinely wild. - India's first all-carbon-composite orbital rocket - India's first 3D-printed engine on an orbital vehicle - India's longest monolithic carbon-composite rocket stage - Vikram-1 stands about 20 metres tall, roughly the height of a 7-storey building - The rocket is named after Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the father of India's space program - Its engines carry the names of real Indian scientists: the Kalam stages after Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the Raman engines after C.V. Raman - The mission itself was called Aagaman, Sanskrit for "the arrival" - Liftoff to orbit took about 15 to 17 minutes - It reached a 450 km orbit, at a 60-degree inclination - It carried 4 satellites, including payloads from Indian startups Grahaa Space and Cosmoserve Alongside the satellites, the rocket carried micro sculptures of C.V. Raman, Vikram Sarabhai, and A.P.J Abdul Kalam, each smaller than a grain of rice. This rocket carries India's name into orbit. It also carries Hyderabad's quietly, in every weld, every engine, every carbon fibre layer built in this city. Building something in space?
