Peripheral neuropathy is more than numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. It occurs when the peripheral nerves are damaged and may also cause burning or weakness. While diabetes is a common cause, vitamin deficiencies, infections and certain medications can also lead to it. Protecting the hands and feet from injury and managing blood sugar, where relevant, can help ease symptoms and prevent them from worsening. If numbness, tingling or weakness persists, seek medical advice to identify and address the underlying cause. For Mandela Day, our teams in South Africa came together to do something simple but meaningful - give their time, resources and care to people who could use a little extra support. We partnered with New BeginningZ and Lebojoy Foundation, NGOs supporting children and families, and donated books, clothes, toys, food and other essentials to bring some much-needed support and joy to those they serve. The initiative brought together members of our employee wellness committee, Thrive@Work, along with colleagues from our Roodepoort Manufacturing Plant and Centurion Corporate Office. It was a lovely reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference when we come together. #WeAreSun #MandelaDay
