EPCMD facilitated a landmark visit by a high-level Venezuelan Government delegation, including Dr. Isabel Iturria, Sectoral Vice President – Health, Science, Technology & Ecosocialism, and Ms. Gabriela Servilia Jimenez Ramirez, Minister of Popular Power for Science & Technology (Mincyt), to the manufacturing facility of Poly Medicure Ltd, India's leading medical devices manufacturer and exporter, on 4th June 2026. The visit was jointly attended by Shri Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, and Shri Aman Sharma, Joint Secretary (Medical Devices), Government of India — reflecting the strategic importance both nations place on deepening MedTech cooperation. Mr. Himanshu Baid, Managing Director, Poly Medicure, welcomed the delegation and showcased the scale, innovation, and quality standards that have established Indian medical devices as a trusted name in over 125 countries. The Chintan Shivir on "Strengthening India's Medical Devices Export Ecosystem" concluded successfully on 14th March 2026 at Vanijya Bhawan, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, New Delhi organized by EPCMD in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Over 150 participants from government, industry, regulatory bodies and the broader MedTech ecosystem came together under the theme: Achieving 30@2030 (USD 30 Billion MedTech Market Size by 2030).
