• Character Personality:

— Positive Trait: RESILIENCE. While she has lived an undoubtedly hard life marked by tragedy, having been stolen from her home and traded like property before reaching adolescence, Furiosa's experiences have made her resolved in herself and her beliefs. After every injury, she recovers more sure of herself than she was before. Furiosa went from caged daughter to caged wife, but never let these experiences break her. She watched her lover be brutally tortured and rather than wait for her own death, decided to cut off her own arm to escape. She stole one of her captor's motorcycles and rode back before making a prosthetic arm out of salvage. After more than twenty years of being stolen from her hope, she is still hopeful that she can return to it.

— Positive Trait: COMPOSURE. In a firefight, she can keep a level head with a critical, assessing eye. Even as a child, she thought of creative solutions to escape imprisonment (such as cutting off her hair to create a wig and escape from an adult man who was too interested in her hair), and spent hours sabotaging her captors by chewing through tubes and hoses on their motorcycles to disable their bikes. She does not panic, and she never stops moving forward. She fights with unrivaled tenacity and persistence. She would rather die trying than lay back and surrender.

— Positive Trait: PATIENT. In a battle, Furiosa's forms plans in seconds. Off the battlefield, she measures her plans in years. She is adaptive and strategic, but will always wait for the right moment. Notably, she refused to speak for years—first to ensure the safety of the home she was stolen from, facing her own imprisonment rather than giving up its location. Later, she continued to refuse to speak to hide her identity as a woman by playing the role as a mute boy to keep a spot working in the garages. Furiosa's first attempt at escape was a touch too hasty, ending disastrously. Only once she had been the driver of the newest war rig for months did Furiosa attempt again, this time with the Immortan's wives in tow.

— Negative Trait: HARSH. Furiosa's tough past has made her unsympathetic, especially toward those she perceives to have lived a more privileged life. When Furiosa is helping the group of the Immortan's wives escape, her response to one who expresses pain after being shot in the leg is gruff, "Everything hurts out here." She is tough to the point that it can feel punishing. She doesn't let her past hold her back, and she has high expectations that others won't either. The world is a cruel, tough place. Sometimes you get dealt a bad hand. Work with it and move forward.

— Negative Trait: SURVIVOR'S GUILT. While Furiosa ultimately worked Immortan's wives and the rest of the Citadel as an act of redemption, she was complacent in his regime for many years. Furiosa wrestles with her own culpability and the brutality of being a tool of oppression. Additionally, Furiosa is plagued by survivor's guilt. Her days were secured by the blood of others, granted only by the actions and sacrifices of others that gave her hope, even when it seemed foolish to believe in it. She carries them with her.

— Negative Trait: VENGEFUL. Furiosa's name is apt. She has a vengeful and violent streak, holding deep grudges against those who have wronged her. Furiosa has killed many, but there are some whose deaths she has made particularly epic. She purposefully tormented the first man who owned her, keeping him barely alive for years and using his living body as fertilizer. For another—the god-king with his brand emblazoned on her neck—she made sure he saw her face, telling him to remember her, as she used the force of his own car to rip his jaw off. She is brutal, and uses it well.
