University of Maryland Directory

All faculty, staff, and students (as well as sponsored affiliates) have records in the University Directory. Those records contain the standard office and telephone contact information as well as user ID and passphrase information.

Please visit the new site located at: account.umd.edu to perform account services (such as account claim, passphrase change, MFA settings, etc.)
Directory Search Search the Directory for faculty, staff, or student contact information.
Claim Your Account Claim your University of Maryland account and set up your credentials. Forgot Password Reset your password if you are unable to sign in to your account.
Forgot User ID Find your University of Maryland User ID if you have forgotten it. Account Registration Register for an account as a former student or University guest. (Former Student registration is intended for students who attended UMD prior to 2006).
About the University Directory

The University of Maryland Directory uses a technology called Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). LDAP is an industry standard for organizing data of all kinds for easy and flexible retrieval. The Directory might be referred to by IT professionals as the LDAP Directory.

UMD applications are increasingly being designed to use the Directory for information as well as user ID and passphrase verification.
