Oversized Fits Reign Supreme at Tokyo Fashion Week
Loose outerwear features prominently throughout.
With Tokyo Fashion Week officially over we take a closer look at some of our favorite street styles from Japan’s capital. As the temperatures begin to fall layering becomes much more of a priority, which is why oversized outerwear was a popular option amongst many this past week. Long overcoats, baggy military jackets, rain coats and oversized denim pieces feature prominently throughout, serving as a comfortable choice while combatting the moderate climate. We also observed numerous DIY-style reworkings of T-shirts and button-ups shirts, giving the respective outfist a rugged touch. The penchant for loose-fits was common amongst trousers as well, with everything from loungewear, wool pants, cropped silhouettes and even some shorts making an appearance as well.
