What is Zapier?

Zapier is the infrastructure for AI-powered automation. It connects your apps, data, and processes to the AI models your team already uses—from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more—so everyone can build wherever they work, while Zapier runs and governs it all from one place.

Zapier offers no-, low-, and full-code tools with a library of 9,000+ apps, plus the ability to build your own custom actions and private apps. You can build end-to-end systems for your business like IT helpdesks, onboarding flows, and lead routing, without switching tools.

Zapier products

Workflows

Zap workflows connect your apps using a trigger-and-action model: when something happens in one app, Zapier takes action in others. You can add AI by Zapier steps to use AI models directly in your Zaps to do things like summarize, classify, draft, or make decisions, or build AI agents that work across your apps autonomously. Other popular features include filters, paths, loops, webhooks, and scheduling.

MCP

Zapier MCP connects your AI clients—like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others—to your apps in Zapier. Set it up once, then your AI can take action in Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, and 9,000+ other apps on demand, directly from your AI conversations. It’s available on all Zapier plans.

SDK

Zapier SDK gives coding agents and developers authenticated access to 9,000+ apps through code. Use it when you need an agent to write logic, call APIs, and chain multi-step actions programmatically, including raw API access for 3,000+ apps. Zapier handles authentication, token refresh, and rate limits. It’s free during open beta.

Tables

Tables is a database built for automation. Store, manage, and act on your data, and use it as a knowledge source for AI steps in your Zaps.

Developer Platform

Powered by Zapier is for companies that want to embed automation in their own products. Use Zapier's Workflow API and 9,000+ integrations to give your users a built-in automation or AI workflow experience without having to build or maintain the integrations yourself. Zapier handles authentication, infrastructure, and end-user support.
