I thought I would post quickly just to leave a note that generally, when I'm adding people--the entire handful of you--I manage to forget what the different statuses mean when I'm doing the adding. So, just about everyone watching has a different combination of status. For now, I'm not posting *anything* locked down; I want this to be a place where I don't have to. In other words, I don't know if anyone is feeling happy or sad or anything about particular status allocations yet, but suspect that eventually, people will. In the meantime, I don't mean anything by it. ;)

(Okay, I am so looking forward to color customizing things and really moving in. *changes style and bounces* *waits impatiently*)

I changed to a (beta) seed account just to see if I could tell what was different, and I have no idea what the difference is yet, but I really wanted to add an icon and OMG 200 icons! 200. I am otherwise enjoying looking around, and mostly, I've noticed that I don't spend long doing so because everything is where I think it ought to be. And I still haven't figured out quite what I want to do here--especially given that I decided to go real-name--but I like the clean, neat feeling of starting from scratch. And now I'm going to see if I can figure out what's different.

The first time I started a journal, the entry was not much more than a abysmal note about watering my bamboo plant. That plant has long since been the victim of my black thumb, but I have a newer bamboo plant that's alive and kicking. For Easter, I also got an orchid. I have wanted an orchid for years and years but couldn't justify paying $15 or more for a flower that I'd probably kill in a week. Now that I have one, I'm suddenly more interested in watering the plants, and it's dry enough that they both get to come with me when I have a shower.

And here I was going to upload an image file of Bert and Tillie from my computer, but I see that this functionality isn't working yet. That's okay. I'm planning to insert some mutant DNA so we can have conversations soon, and maybe I'll link to an audio file of Bert's haiku about the moon or Tillie's advice column once the plants are sentient.
