I'm a long-time fanfic writer!
A longer time than I'd prefer to admit, all things considered. I started in ‘87, bashing out my first fics on a cast-iron manual typewriter. I started in Transformers fandom because a). I was desperately in love with Starscream, and b). I couldn't just let his story end with him tumbling off into the void at the end of Ghost in the Machine! After watching him fight so hard to regain his body, it struck me as grossly unfair to leave his story hanging like that, so I set out to give him the happy ending I believe he deserves.
My first attempts were… not good, but I worked on it! I honed my craft, writing in a few other fandoms along the way. In the decades since, I've submitted to zines, edited zines, published zines, and illustrated for zines. When fandom moved online I participated in fanfic mailing lists, LiveJournal, Fanfiction.net, Archive of Our Own and eventually Tumblr. I've even won some awards!
In 2014, I came back to my roots and rediscovered my first love: namely Starscream. I started wondering if I was finally ready to continue his story the way I'd always wanted to. I'm still working on that, with my long-running "Unbroken" series, as well as its prequel series, "Untried." Writing, for me, is more than a hobby. It's an abiding passion, a spiritual quest, and an expression of deep devotion to the Muse who started me on this journey.
