I'm Liz. My cat and I live in Canada, and I spend most of my time trying to figure out how to do my job and have a life at the same time. Mixed results so far, but my job is awesome, so that's okay.

I write, sporadically and with wildly varying levels of competency. In general, the trend appears to be one of improvement, but it's a long slow slog for a perfectionist and compulsive editor. All my stories are speculative fiction of one bent or another. Regardless of how little actual writing I do, it is very important to me.

I am politically interested, but I don't really talk about it much since I find the actual practice of politics depressing. I am religious, but not in a way most people recognise. It's private, and complicated, and I'm usually not interested in discussing it publicly.

This journal welcomes people of differing religions, alternative sexualities and gender presentations/identities, non-conventional lifestyles, fat-positivity, and a whole host of other things it would take too long to enumerate. It also welcomes the more conventional. If you have a problem with that, you are not welcome.

If you want to add me, I appreciate PM as a courtesy. Also, you probably won't be added back if you don't, as I rarely (read: never) check my "friend-of" list.
