Booting Linux doesn't finish in online demo

This happens on Safari (15.2) and on Chrome/Mac (97.0.4692.71) and regardless whether I boot Linux using LegacyBBL or OpenSBI, at the end of the boot process I get:

[ 10.920852] Run /sbin/init as init process
can't run '/etc/init.d/rcS': No such file or directory

I think it is a payload issue.
