starting from today (06/12/2024) my feed is sorted in reverse order (oldest items are on top, newest on bottom) This must be some kind of sorting bug right ? I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to see new entries ? It does not seem to make sense at all so i'm guessing it's a bug related to some changes that have been done.

I asked around and other people i know are seeing the same thing

Got the same issue. I also noticed that some commits show up as newer than they actually are.

Here is an example where the UI says the commit is 17 days old even tho the commit is from January (over 11 months ago)

Same issue. I thought I just hadn't had any activity for a couple of days, but then scrolled down and saw them getting newer and newer.

Id like to see newest first. Or at least give a sort option so we can choose.

In this change you will see trending developer or repository modules remain, but activity will resume to being sorted with the most recent activity first and the oldest activity as you scroll down the Feed.

Not sure what you're referencing, but the link you posted states the sort order.

At this point, I can't help but laugh at these absurd issues. You GH guys seem to have the met the biggest challenge of your programming career - a simple home feed LOL. Must be an insane iceberg! What an unbelievable mess.

Agreed, it is hard to understand how this can happen. GH is ranked in the top 50 most visited websites in the world, and one dedicated to developers. How can the home page have a critical issue going on for 3 days now without a fix or even a response to the user base? It makes me question whether GH is a reliable host for my projects going forward.

I wouldn't be this 'amazed' if the inversed order would be the only issue. When you have lots of starred repos, the feed often won't load until you refreshed a dozen times and toggle some filter settings. This has been an issue for MONTHS! The currently present order issue seems to be associated with them trying to fix the loading problem.

The sort order wasn't supposed to be like it's today - oldest at the top of the page, newest at the bottom. It becomes obvious after clicking on the "More" button, which is at the bottom of the page. More older items than those at the top of the page will be appended to the bottom, where the newest items would be meant to be...
