Same here. Actually I have come across this problem many times in the past 😞
It usually lasts for a day or two, after which the feed get displayed again.

Same here! Depending on what I select in the Filter, I either see "That's all for now" or very old feeds (like, more than 3 weeks old).

I know I should have seen newer things: by directly visiting the repositories I starred, some of them have published new releases.

Temporary workaround:
Click filter, uncheck Include events from starred repositories and save. Then re-enable it again.
Then it works for a few days or a week or so before breaking again. At least that's how it works for me.

Sometimes unchecking some filters and checking them again helps, but most of the time it just doesn't. It's been frustrating for some long, loong time 😔

Yesterday I tried the workaround and it worked for me. Today, I experienced the same problem. I tried the workaround a couple of times, while also refreshing the page. Now the feed is completely broken: I only three weeks old items.

The "Check and uncheck Include events from starred repositories" fix is not working anymore for me. I haven't used GitHub for a couple of days. Now I am trying to use it, and the feed still doesn't work. I Have tried checking and unchecking the box multiple times, and also refreshing the page multiple times. Nothing, I only see 3 weeks old news.

I really appreciate that GitHub is free for public repositories and individual users, so I cannot really complain. But this issue is really annoying. I liked the GitHub feed: it was an awesome way to stay up-to-date with the latest information from my favourite packages. Now I am no longer able to use it, I will start looking for alternative approaches.

The feed has always had issues since it was introduced. Sometimes it seems to work because updates appear, but there are always a few feed updates that are missing.

Until Github fixes this critically broken part of their app, for those who are growing weary of not being able to keep up with recent releases for starred repositories, I have created a service that does just that.

It looks like a lot of people are facing the same issue with the GitHub Home Feed not showing updates from starred repositories, and it’s been happening for a while. Here's what I've seen people trying:

Possible Workarounds :

1. Toggling the Filters 🔄:

   • Some users have had luck by unchecking and then rechecking the "Include events from starred repositories" option in the filters. But honestly, it’s a hit or miss lately, and doesn’t always work.

2. Refreshing the Page 🔄:

   • A simple refresh or reopening the tab might give you a quick fix, but again, this doesn’t seem to last long.

A Cool New Solution :

• A user created a third-party service that tracks releases for starred repos, so you can keep up to date with your favorites even while GitHub’s feed is down. It’s open-sourced, and you can even contribute if you’re feeling up for it! 😄

What GitHub’s Doing :

• GitHub is aware of the issue, and it seems like it’s on their radar, but no solid fix has been rolled out yet. You can check the GitHub Community Discussion where other users are chatting about it and sharing what works for them. 🗣️

It’s definitely frustrating, especially when you rely on that feed to keep track of updates. Hopefully, GitHub gets it sorted soon! 🤞
