Ability to filter views based on a field's color

Iteration fields are not flexible enough for our use case, so we're using a custom Single select to represent releases instead. We have them colored so that the current release, next release and past releases are all defined colors. It would be helpful to be able to set up a view so that it filters on the color of the field instead of just the value, so that when we change the color of the field values, all the views will update automatically.
