fyreharperGrowing up is
learning
to be human.
How to interact as expected
so people do not think you too strange.
How to stand strong
on two feet
on the ground.
How to leave behind
a whole ocean of things
that now belong to a world not your own.
And there are things to love, here.
Things you could not do before.
A life to build.
This is supposed to be a good thing -
and maybe it is.
But they have stolen my sealskin
and I cannot go back to the sea.
