Sep. 5th, 2020 04:20 pmMarriage รก Trois (Sorrel) - Sherlock Holmes, Teen and up, multiple combinations of Sherlock Holmes/John Watson/Mary Morstan, 33 292 words.
Author's summary: In the aftermath of the Blackwood case, Mary determines that if she wants to have a successful marriage, she must find a way to integrate Holmes into her relationship with John. It's a decision that will have a number of unforeseen consequences, as she becomes far closer with the famous detective than she ever could have imagined.
What I liked: Mary point of view, does not denigrate Mary, her relationship, her intelligence, her work, any of those things (all of which are reasons I don't read much in this fandom)
Deus Ex (innocentsmith) - Jeeves & Wooster, general audiences, Jeeves/Wooster if you squint, 3659 words. Author's summary: What does Jeeves do on his annual week's holiday? Meta-ish crack crossover between the Wodehouseverse and, among other things, classical mythology.
Doggone Batty (Kedreeva) - Good Omens, Teen and Up, Crowley/Aziraphael if you squint, 14 319 words. Author's summary: Aziraphale, a werewolf who never fit in well with the rest of his pack, moves into a house he's just inherited a long ways away. The only problem is that he finds there's something more than a little amiss with his new neighbor.
Crisis - femslashfatale (mikans_elbow) - Revolutionary Girl Utena, Teen and Up, Himemiya Anthy/Tenjou Utena, 5656 words. This is a lovely twisty post-canon kind of story, with about as much coherence as I remember the original show having. Not quite a happy ending.
This one is much longer than my usual - not sure where I found the recommendation: On Espionage and Prophecy (or How to Accidentally, but Wholly, Fall in Love With a Soho Bookseller) - RockSaltAndRoll - Good Omens, Explicit, Crowley/Azirapale, 133 390 words. WWII human AU, spies, a book seller, Nazis. Dark in places (in keeping with London during the Blitz), but happy ending.
