🇺🇸DIAMFAB at US Embassy Paris 💎 Ivan Llaurado, CRO & partnership director, represented DIAMFAB for the Frontier Tech Bridge program. 🤝 A good opportunity for us to learn more about US ecosystem and to meet ambitious US based VC investors there. 🙏Thank you for selecting DIAMFAB for this amazing event.
Yesterday, I had the honor of representing Diamfab at the Frontier Tech Bridge program, hosted at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in Paris. Ambassador Charles Kushner opened the day by pointing out that “entrepreneur” is a French word, and that the U.S. is opening its doors to French companies ready to scale. One question in particular stood out: what do French entrepreneurs tend to underestimate when entering the U.S. market? The answer was direct: too often, they underestimate their own potential and their ability to build great companies. For Diamfab, the question has never been whether the U.S. is an interesting place to invest and develop. The answer was obvious from day one. The questions have always been: when, and how? We do not have the full answer yet. But yesterday, we met key people who can help make Diamfab’s U.S. development a success — for Diamfab, for our partners, and hopefully for the U.S. economy as well. Thank you to everyone involved in making this bridge between French deep tech and the U.S. ecosystem a reality, especially Rose-Marie Faria and the U.S. Embassy team.

February 2026: Within the Japan–US investment framework, $600 million has been allocated to a diamond wafer manufacturing facility led by Element Six. 🇺🇲 - 🇯🇵 June 2026: China announced a $210 million investment to build a facility equipped with 500 MPCVD systems for the mass production of 2-inch to 4-inch single-crystal diamond wafers, along with 50 production lines for spherical diamond powder. 🇨🇳 An entire ecosystem is heating up, and the diamond semiconductor revolution may arrive sooner than expected. At the European level, the window of opportunity will gradually but inevitably close unless we commit to a bolder vision and stronger investments. Hopefully, we already have players who will, for sure, make a difference 😉 DIAMFAB HiQuTe Diamond. 💥 Disrupting an industry with new technology isn’t just about developing that technology. ➡️ It’s about having a vision, a position within an ecosystem, and a strategic position in the value chain. 💎 It is the combination of all these elements that makes DIAMFAB a technology leader on its way to becoming an industry leader, thanks to the pilot line we launched earlier this year and our ongoing Series A funding round to accelerate industrial development. 🚀 The road ahead is long but structuring and necessary to secure this position. This is what Patrick Le Fèvre summed up very well in this excellent article, which we invite you to read if you’re interested in semiconductor diamond, DIAMFAB, or both ! #diamond #powerdiamond #AIpowersupply
Diamond has the potential to move the industry another step forward! For more than four decades, I have followed the evolution of semiconductor technologies and their impact on industry and society. Throughout this journey, I have learned that breakthrough innovations often emerge after years—or even decades—of patient scientific research. In a recent white-paper on the future role of diamond in the semiconductor industry, I highlighted one company that I believe deserves special attention: Diamfab, a French deep-tech company that has successfully transformed more than 30 years of academic research into a pioneering industrial venture. Diamond semiconductors have long been regarded as the "ultimate semiconductor" due to their exceptional electrical and thermal properties. Today, advances in synthetic diamond manufacturing are bringing this vision closer to commercial reality. In the article below, I explore Diamfab's journey from laboratory research in Grenoble to the launch of Europe's first pilot production line for semiconductor-grade diamond wafers, and why this technology could play a significant role in the future of power electronics, electric mobility, renewable energy, AI infrastructure, and advanced industrial systems. I hope you find this article informative and I welcome your comments and perspectives on the future of diamond electronics. #DIAMFAB #Diamond #Power #powerelectronics #powerconversion #electricvehicle #EV #efficiency #energysaving #AI #innovation #WBG
