The overflow valve of an insomniac writer caught up in the worlds created by "The X-Files", "CSI", "The West Wing", and most recently "Blue Bloods", among others. Dedicated to those who first taught me, and those who remind me to observe, to listen, to think, and to write it all down.

The Rules:

1) Ass in the chair. Now. Leave everything else.
2) The more you write, the better you get.
3) It’s supposed to be messy. Tidy later.
4) It’s supposed to be scary. Go there.
5) Hone technique relentlessly till the Magic shows up.
6) Writer’s block is the ego calling. Laugh at yourself.
7) Pen and ink cultivate concision.
8) Writing is a physical practice.
9) Deadlines are like friendly jailers.
10) Um, there are no rules.
