About us
Neorem Magnets Oy is a Finnish company, which manufactures sintered NdFeB permanent magnets and magnet assemblies under the Hitachi Metals’ global (including Japan) license. We are a part of the German Vacuumschmelze GmbH & Co. KG and have our factory and head office in Ulvila, Finland. We offer our customers an extensive expertise in magnet production and related technology. Our quality is made to last a long-term usage in demanding conditions. We are specialized in the production of NdFeB magnets and pole elements for large electric motors and generators, especially for renewable energy applications. Our strength lies in the long experience of manufacturing big magnets, difficult shapes, and assemblies with highly automated processes. 30 Years of Neorem Magnets! On December 1st, 1995, Neorem Magnets officially began its journey—founded by the management and staff of the former Outokumpu Magnets. Last Friday, at our annual Christmas party, we had the opportunity to bring together colleagues—and, as part of our tradition, to also welcome our long-serving retired team members to celebrate with us. The evening was filled with warm conversations, shared memories, and an impressive amount of NdFeB magnet know-how 😊 . A memorable night—and a proud moment—for the entire Neorem Magnets family 🫶 .

Our journey began almost four decades ago. In 1988, we started as Outokumpu Magnets, a pilot plant established to develop and produce sintered NdFeB permanent magnets. The early years laid the technological foundation and expertise that still guide us today. As the business evolved, so did our identity.
