The Fannish Library Fest is a place to celebrate and explore fans and characters as keepers, organizers, and preservers of knowledge.
It's a place to talk about both the information management practices we use and create and adapt in fandom (archives, delicious accounts, bookmarks, rec lists) and libraries/records/archives within the fannish worlds we play in (Bobby's library in Supernatural, record-keeping for the Stargate universe, the Red Book of Westmarch, Jenny Calendar digitizing Sunnydale's library). Characters' oral histories and traditions, memoirs, personal papers, personal libraries, awesome reference skillz – they're all welcomed! Join us in being fannish about libraries and librarianish about fandom!
The Fest will be open for posting April 15 - April 30, 2011.
